MARC vs Amtrak: Silver Spring Wreck 28 years Later

On February 16, 1996, a tragic head-on collision between a MARC commuter train and Amtrak's Capitol Limited shook Maryland. Eleven lives were lost due to a red signal ignored, system failures, and a deadly chain of mistakes.
