If you’re granted immunity to testify in a Trial, but then you’re asked questions that could incriminate you, can you plead the 5th and remain silent?
No.
However, because you have immunity, no statement by you (or other direct or indirect evidence stemming from your testimony) can be used against you except for prosecution for perjury, false statement, or refusing to testify.
If you had immunity, would you testify or would you take the consequences?
