Song context: There was a controversy with MARETU in November 2017, look it up at your own risk. He sued that girl for defamation and afaik, won the case. On 1st January 2018, he posted Toutetsu, in which he questions: "Am I still making music that I enjoy?" Koukatsu was posted in March 2018. MARETU's style and themes shift after this song. They're still dark, messed up, but not Coin Locker Baby or Mind Brand level kind of messed up.

Some more possible references:
