Why Emulation Is So Important In 2025

Video game emulation is one of the most important ways we can make old games accessible. But there's no feeling like booting up that old Super Nintendo and Earthbound or Final Fantasy 3(6) the way they were meant to be played when they were released.

It is unrealistic to assume everyone has access to old hardware, though. Very smart people across the world find new ways every day to make old software work again on any console you can imagine, from the Nintendo 3DS to the PlayStation Portable.
