Hi, I am having trouble getting rid of a collection on my report. I dispute it; they mark as disputed. I then request that they remove the dispute, and they do so. They are also not reporting inaccurately. What would be another approach to removing the debt collector. TIA!
What is the statute of limitations in Florida for credit card debt? 4 or 5 years? Thank You. :hand-pink-waving:
What if 4 of my collections were from 2008 but they were bought from collectors in 2021? I thought they’re supposed to fall off after 7 years?
What if I don't have the collection on any of the three major credit reports, but the collection is reporting on my LexisNexus report? There is nothing to compare against, outside of it being reported on my LexisNexus and not on my three major bureau reports....
I was checking my credit report recently. I have a collection account on it, but I think there is some information missing. It doesn’t show the last date of payment neither the date of the estimated removal date. I also found out that the debt buyer is changing the payment history on this account. Do they can change the months of the payment history? Let’s say I first saw my credit report on this account and it shows C for month August 2023 and beyond. But is saying “data unavailable” for all the months before August 2023. Also, the debt buyer keep changing the months of the payment months from date unavailable to C. It seems something is wrong about how they are reporting this account. Also, do they can report late payments on this collection account? Thank you
I’ve had several accounts in collection some dropped off after the statue of limitation and some were sent to court in which I did not show so wages were heading for garnishment but made payment agreements. I have a few questions on my very last collection on my report. Owed progressive $289.10 A third party took it over in my state ccs of Massachusetts I did not pay the third party I paid the original creditor progressive 1. Every where I look the amount is being recorded at $289.00 Does the 10cents give me a case of incorrect accuracy 2. If I were to dispute it do I go to the 3 bureaus or ccs the third party Thank you for your time!
Had a debt collector reporting a balance in collections. Every so often they raise the amount. I am paying on said debt through a program that contacted the original bank that I had gotten the loan from. Any work around to stop a collector from reporting it to collections knowing the debt is being paid directly to the original bank?
I have debt collectors that keep changing the dates the account was open which changes when the fall off date should be. Is this illegal?
Hello, I had a collections on my credit report & I contacted them and wrote on there website why I am disputing there charge and now it’s not on my credit report anymore? Should I contact them asking why they removed it? I’m guessing they’re investigating or should I dispute with the credit bureaus even thought it’s not my report anymore or should I request a debt validation letter from the collections agency ?
Thank you for the great information. I live in the state of Rhode Island, would you have a referral for me in my state or possibly in Massachusetts? I am assuming your law firm is not allowed to litigate outside the state of Florida? If that is not true, I am ready to hire your firm accordingly for my case as I am in need of these specialized attorneys in consumer law litigation. Thanks again for the great informative videos that you have done through the past years. Billy
Who do you contact when your credit report has an account in collections and it states that the account was closed by creditor/ paid in full/ charge off.
I live in Jacksonville FL and an old apartment complex put me in collection for unreturned keys? Which is not true, I gave them the keys back. They were charging the same as rent almost $900 for keys. I really want some help on this, as its the only collection on my credit report, and I am looking at purchasing a home soon. Thanks so much!
