Andrew Barry - Washington D.C, USA - Worldwide Jam Sessions episode 25

Today I would like to Introduce you to Andrew Barry From Belmont in Boston, Massachusetts, USA here in Washington D.C, USA. Andrew and I used to live in D.C together and played music together a lot. We even started a group duo project for a while. Now Andrew lives in Brooklyn, NY and plays in a band called Recess.

What do you play and what made/makes you want to play music?
"I got my first guitar for Christmas when I was 8 years old, so I’ve been making music in some capacity for most of my life. To be honest, during the early years I was mostly doing it to raise my self esteem, i was a nerdy shy kid who thought being good at guitar would make me cool. Somewhere along the way though I ended up falling in love, first with my instrument, then singing, songwriting, production, etc. Now i view music as one of the main things that makes me human, and makes life worthwhile. It’s a never-ending journey as i improve, learning new things about my craft and ultimately about myself."
