We prep the boat for new crew in Petersburg and ship items on AML to make it easier to go through Canada's inside passage. Our new crew Bill and Scott fly in and Alise flies out after a long delay in the airport waiting for safe landing and take off in the fog. Our new crew heads out first thing the next morning anticipating a quick trip to Ketchikan with one anchorage in Vixen Inlet. The weather window doesn't hold up so we duck into Meyers Chuck to wait out the storm. We enjoy the dock life and meeting the home owners who stay year round. After several tours and very wet and stormy days and nights we enjoy our cinnamon roll order from the resident post master and a tour of the island she lives on. We mail postcards to our family and prepare to leave for Ketchikan. We don't know the top speed of the wind on some of the stormy nights, but the worst night a resident said Ketchikan clocked gusts over 109 and while tying extra lines on the boats during one of the nights I could lean all the way into the wind and we had to hang on to things so we didn't get picked up off the dock. The storm on the map covered the whole gulf of Alaska. We were all grateful to have a safe place to stay in Meyers Chuck and enjoyed our time with the friendly residents. When we get to Ketchican we work on our paperwork for entering Canada and then enjoyed dinner with friends. The next day we leave Ketchikan and head to Foggy Bay our last stop before reaching Canadian waters. We ended up getting to sail a portion of our trip in beautiful weather to Foggy Bay.

A big "Thank You" to Bill and Scott who came to help us on our adventure to take the boat down through the Inside Passage to Anacortes and also for all the goodies brought and shared on the trip!
