On January 20, 2025, an officer with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife was on patrol at Float 20, a marina that has a dusk to dawn rule. Prior to this interaction, he had just issued a pair of crabbers a warning for one undersized crab and for violating the marina’s dusk to dawn rule. He then noticed individuals at the end of a dock crabbing in the dark.
In the end, Bill received a mandatory court appearance for keeping a soft-shell crab, keeping undersized crab, and operating too many units of gear. Bobby was cited for fishing without a license. Unfortunately, we are unable to access the court records to show the outcome.
