Trump Says Europe Is Nastier Than China As Tensions Flare

Trump says that the European Union is nastier than China. Saying “We have all the cards. They treat us very unfairly." This comes as the EU and US can’t seem to reach a trade agreement. Trump complained today that Europe doesn’t buy any American cars, which isn’t true, the US exported 160,000 cars to them last year. And Europeans are saying - If you want us to buy more American cars, America has to make cars Europeans want. Americans are engaged in an arms race on the road, every year cars get heavier and taller, and as a result for the past 30 years, more pedestrians are killed by cars every year than the year previous, a trend only observed in the US. European roads are narrower and gas is more expensive, so having a giant truck or SUV is non-sensible. Meanwhile, European automakers do make heavier cars for the American market. But cars aren’t the only thing causing a rift between the two - Greenland is kicking up the temperature. Former NATO SecGen Rasmussen said today "I find it shameless that an American president can threaten an ally. Denmark is one of the closest and most reliable allies of the United States," Adding that Greenlanders don’t want to become Americans, and highlighting the most ridiculous part of this entire debacle: The 1951 treaty gives the US the right to do whatever it wants on the island, yet the US has been reducing its military presence on the island for decades. He finished with: "The fact is that Greenland is part of NATO. If the United States is dissatisfied with the defense of Greenland ... we would appreciate a strengthened defense cooperation with the United States."
