Day 4 in Leh was full of unexpected surprises! I started with a free ride to the main market, only to find most places shut—because, well, -10°C isn’t exactly the best time for business. While some adorable locals soaked up the sun, Chef Dinesh and I set off on a food hunt. But to my surprise, even the famous Wazwan spot had turned vegetarian for the day!
Disappointed, I wandered into a cozy café and finally tried the legendary Salted Butter Tea. Let’s just say… it wasn’t love at first sip. Too much butter, too little tea—definitely not my thing! Post-tea recovery involved soaking in some epic mountain views and realizing (a little too late) that I had washed off my sunscreen in freezing water.
Back at the hotel, redemption came in the form of comforting fried rice and anda curry. Finally, some food I loved! Tomorrow, we go all in on Wazwan—stay tuned!
