Place value - Adding 10 and 100 using Base Ten Dienes

In this video we begin by use Dienes Base 10 blocks as a concrete resource to help children understand how to add 10 and 100 to any number. We then progress to recording the concrete resources pictorially. We initially look at calculations where only the tens or hundreds columns are affected. We then progress to looking at what happens when other columns are also affected.
