Ryan's #42 Mercedes Benz O405NH (Volgren 'CR221L')

"Are we taking #42 out?"

Thankfully yes we did. In this video we ride onboard Ryan's #42, which is a 2001 Mercedes Benz O405NH with a Volgren 'CR221L' body. We ride this bus onboard the Bus & Coach Society of Victoria's Farewell Ryans Route Service tour on the 6th April 2025.

#42 entered service with Ryan's as a route bus but it has since long been retired from route service. This bus has been retained as a school bus and was recently retrofitted with larger school bus seats with seatbelts. This is the oldest bus in the Ryan's fleet.
