Overlanding Offroad Alaska Adventure Camping Wrangell Island Alaska Expedition. Overlanding Offroad in Southeast Alaska with OnX Offroad mapping is complete for Mitkof Island (Petersburg) Alaska and it's time to catch the ferry for Wrangell Island on my next leg of the Alaska Expedition in Southeast Alaska. After staying up all night to make sure I don't miss the ferry. I check out the remaining cabin at the Trees RV and enjoy the porch with my Flextail Tiny Repeller S that keeps all the mosquitos away. Loving that it has a lamp as it gets dark. With everything charged and packed I head to the ferry for check in, 2 hours prior to the 4:45 am departure. Once in Wrangell it's off to the boat yard to visit friends, ship the Mitkof videos to Monica, and find a place to camp with cellphone service for the night. I'm exhausted and a bit flustered as I loose service as soon as I get into each campsite. Thankfully I received permission to park on someone's property for the night by the Harbor where I could catch up on phone calls and get a fantastic view of the harbor for the night. The next morning it is off to explore and map the island and look for another campsite. More Wrangell videos coming soon.
