IRA clash with Garda at the funeral of IRA man James Lynagh, Monaghan 12th May 1987.

One of the 8 IRA men killed in Loughgall by the SAS, in the Republic detectives fired warning shots when they were surrounded by a hostile crowd at Emyvale near Monaghan. Garda officers had tried to arrest IRA men who fired shots over the coffin of James Lynagh, who was a member of the East Tyrone Brigade Provisional IRA.
