The Pak ISI sponsored Module

of Delhi, Dehradun, Aligarh, Lucknow, Moradabad, Prayagraj led to the busting of Pak ISI sponsored Module disguised as ISIS Module.
 Three ISIS operatives including wanted terrorist Shahnawaz Alam arrested.
 The Pak ISI sponsored Module disguised as ISIS Module was at the advanced stage of planning terror strikes in Delhi.
 Accused Shahnawaz Alam was carrying a reward of Rs 3 Lac from NIA on his arrest after he absconded from Pune in August this year.

Teams of Special Cell led by Insp. Vinay Pal, Insp. Arvind Singh under the close supervision of Sh. Lalit Mohan Negi and Sh. Hridaya Bhushan, AC’sP/NDR and overall supervision of Addl. C.P. Sh. Pramod Kushwah and DCP Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh in coordination with the central agencies conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations of Delhi, Dehradun, Aligarh, Lucknow, Moradabad, Prayagraj that led to the busting of Pak ISI sponsored Module disguised as ISIS Module with the arrest of three operatives of banned terrorist outfit ISIS including wanted and rewarded terrorist Shahnawaz Alam @ Abdullah, who was caring a reward of 3 lakhs as declared by the NIA. The busting of this module by timely intervention of Special Cell has averted a major terror strike in Delhi.

Special Cell has continuously been keeping surveillance through all possible means on the activities of suspect operatives of ISIS and their contacts/sympathizers with special focus on Delhi centric suspects. Credible inputs revealed that in order to carry out terror activities in India, while simultaneously trying to hide its role and to circumvent scrutiny by international agencies, Pak-ISI has created a façade of India focused ISIS by using PAK based and protected terrorists who are fugitive from India, namely Farahtullah Gauri and his son-in-law Shahid Faisal (both absconding accused involved in Akshardham Temple attack case and presently hiding in Pakistan while working for Pak-ISI). Pak-ISI has been learnt to have emphasized on collecting funds through crime (Maal-e-Ghanimat) for this network so that this could be projected as a “Home Grown” and “Self Radicalized network”.
While following leads obtained through credible sources and technical means, one such module was identified with footprints in UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand & Maharashtra. While developing the information, two ISIS operatives namely Imran Khan and Yunus Saaki were arrested in Pune, Maharashtra by Pune Police. However, one of the arrested persons namely Shahnawaz Alam @ Abdullah manage to escape from the police custody. The case was later transferred to NIA for further investigation, who later declared a reward of ₹ 3 lakhs on the arrest of absconding terrorist Shahnawaz Alam @ Abdullah @ Md. Ibrahim @ Prince and 3 other accused.
Further specific information was received that the accused Shahnawaz Alam r/o Hazaribagh, Jharkhand who is also wanted in the above case from Pune, is moving along with one Rizwan Ali r/o Delhi and they along with their other associates, have been planning to carry out terrorist activities in Delhi and adjoining areas. It has also been learnt that they are in the advance stage of preparations and have procured Arms, Ammunition and Explosives for this purpose and have set up base in Delhi.
This information was developed through sources and manual/technical surveillance was mounted on the contacts persons/sympathizers of absconded accused Shahnawaz Alam and Rizwan Ali.
OPERATION
On 01/10/23, on the basis of credible inputs, coordinated multiple raids were carried out in three states (Delhi, UP and Uttarakhand) with the assistance Central Intelligence Agency and concerned state police.
During investigation, Md. Arshad Warsi arrested in the present case from Delhi disclosed that Shahnawaz Alam is known to him and he is an accomplice in the conspiracy to carry out terrorist activities in Delhi and adjoining areas along with Shahnawaz and others. He also revealed that Shahnawaz Alam has procured Arms, Ammunition and Explosives and taken a rented room in Delhi in furtherance of their criminal conspiracy.
