Anyway- so I’m entering Mcki’s cover contest! I decided to cover my absolute favorite song from them, Ophelia’s Garden! I admit that I reallyyyy like the play of Hamlet so I have a bias that this song is based on Ophelia but it was honestly what spawned me to like Hamlet so much.

It has also made me create a whole AU if the Vocaloid characters acted out the play of Hamlet! That’s the exact reason why Len is used as the backing vocals in this cover, I depicted him as Prince Hamlet to subtly make it like Hamlet is singing Ophelia’s song with her!

Lastly, I want to talk about my thought process! I knew using the same voicebank as the the original would mean I have to compete even more with the original tuning of it but I really couldn’t envision using any other vocaloid for this because of the AU. Additionally, I also knew I was competing with SynthV covers which ultimately will sound cleaner so I really tried emphasizing the almost desperate descent of Miku as she goes from singing to almost pleading by the last chorus.
