"This is the first time I've been interviewed about my experience of the atomic bombing." Ishibashi Kikuko still can't stop crying when she remembers her experience in Hiroshima 80 years ago. Just looking at the Atomic Bomb Dome makes her tremble, so she has avoided it.

But now, even as she battles a serious illness called blood cancer, she has undergone training and become an atomic bombing witness. "I want to speak as many times as possible, and for as long as possible." We explored her thoughts.
