Several people injured after major semi crash shuts down I-5 in north Seattle

An injury crash involving a semi-truck closed all northbound lanes and three southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in the Northgate area of north Seattle Wednesday morning.

WSP said preliminary information shows another driver was trying to pass the semi when they collided. The driver who caused the crash will likely be cited according to WSP, though no further information was available on what kind of citation the driver would face.
