Spokane couple, Teresa and Carl Wilkens Pedal cross country for peace in Darfur

Teresa and Carl Wilkens from Spokane Wa are bicycling 4600 mile across the country stopping to speak to schools and community groups along the way. They were living in Rwanda in 1994 when the genocide hit and they decided that Carl would stay and Teresa and the children would evacuate. They share there story in hopes that it will inspire others to stand up against genocide, racism and intolerance on all fronts.
