Tenant From Hell Pulls Gun on Process Server Serving Eviction: Revelation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is being charged for allegedly pulling a gun on work crews who served him an eviction and took his belongings.

Monday, Memphis Police responded to a call on Person Avenue, where a victim and his crews were conducting an eviction.

The tenant, Alfonzo Jefferson, opened the door and was given legal documents saying that he was being evicted. While the workers took items from the home, Jefferson left the scene.

Reports state that he allegedly came back with a shotgun in his hand. He pointed it at one of the workers and told him to get off his property or he will get shot.

Both the workers and Jefferson left the home. MPD says no shots were fired.

When officers got on the scene, Jefferson returned without the gun. He told police that he was holding a nail gun.

Video footage showed that Jefferson was pointing a gun and yelling aggressively, police say.

Jefferson is charged with Aggravated Assault and being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
