The 1892 Bishop's Palace: Conservatory Restoration

Throughout 2020, our conservatory has been undergoing restoration by Houston’s R B Hash & Associates, Inc. That work has wrapped up with amazing results. Work done includes reconstruction of the original copper roof to its initial design and materials. Repair to the steel supports which have corroded over time due to exposure has also been completed.

This project was possible thanks to the support of the Josephine Reid Fund for Bishop’s Palace, K.S. Adams Jr. Foundation, and Texas Historical Commission Texas Preservation Trust Fund Programs.
