A History of Pokémon Rivals from Red & Blue to Scarlet & Violet

I've been a Pokémon fan for over 25 years, and I've got a lot of love for every generation. I've made a couple videos on rivals before (you can find my vid on Nemona here:    • Does Nemona/Victory Road HAVE a Plot in Po...  ) But instead of doing them individually, I'd like to look at the trend of rivals throughout the generations.

Everything here is purely my own impression, and I'm always up for some healthy debate. Feel free to share your opinions, and I'll reply as much as I'm able.
