Alice Through the Looking Glass is a 2016 American fantasy film directed by James Bobin. The movie is a sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland and stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Mia Wasikowska.

The story takes place three years after the events of the first film. Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) returns to Wonderland, only to find that her friend, the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), is suffering from a mysterious illness caused by a broken heart. As Alice tries to help the Hatter, she soon discovers that the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) has become even more powerful and ruthless, and that the Hatter’s family was killed by her when he was just a boy.
