I've been to both recently and I agree Disneyland is better. The hotel proximity, the two parks and hopping ability, and shorter lines due to more rides per park are something that I forgot about prior to our Florida trip. It didn't take long waiting for busses and standing in line for 40 minutes to get real old real quick. Plus downtown Disney being walkable as well is really nice.
As a California native who has lived in Oregon for 15 years, my inner SoCal girl is getting a little ego and beaming with pride. š Their castle may be bigger, but ours was first! Lol Thanks for the fun video and giving me a little hometown pride. š
I couldnāt agree more! I have been to both more times than I can count and you are absolutely correct. The Kali River Rapids ride at Animal Kingdom is a full minute shorter than Grizzly
Agree! Just got back from Disneyland last week ( my third trip). I went to to Disney World 5 years ago. It takes so long to get anywhere there and the humidity. The only thing I prefer of Disney World is more affordable Disney property hotels and Pandora. But DCA has Cars Land. :)
Unfortunately the monorail will be down for a while due to its proximity to construction in Downtown Disney. I love taking the monorail into the park, but I would highly recommend that anyone going for the first time to go through the front gate to get the reveal when going through the tunnel.
Disneyland is easy to get around. You can walk back to your hotel and drop off souvenirs, use the bathroom, take a quick rest, etc., and be back in the park super quick. The socal weather is awesome, you can be outside all day long from start to finish if you want. Rides they have Alice in wonderland, roger rabbit, Mr toad, Pooh bear ride complete with heffalumps and woozles dream sequence , etc. plus the food Disneyland has tigger tails and raspberry Coca Cola. Also the history, Walt built the park and was there (even had an apartment). The snack Doritos was invented at Disneyland (the predecessor to rancho del zocallo). So the history is there. I like the Disneyland castle too. I went on a tour, and I think they said the paint for the castle (some specialty paint for the 100th anniversary shield was like 2 grand a gallonāit does some sort of aurora borealis effect when light hits it
Love it! Youāre an expert in both parks and I agree completely! One that you didnāt mention is that early entry in Disneyland is a huge benefit with zero lines and very few people so we get up to 4 rides before the park opens. That does not happen at Disneyworld because everyone gets early entry there so itās not helpful.
Last week at DCA we were walking past Guardians of the Galaxy ride and to my right Captain America starts walking side by side with us while talking to my kids in the strollers for like a whole minute before ducking into a side door. Insane!!! ā¤
We were seated just to the right when you walked by Mickeyās PhilharMagic theater and saw you filming! Love the vids, we watched a few when getting ready for our trip.
I really enjoyed the comparison of both wdw and disneyland. I only went once to wdw, and the humidity and heat just killed it for my son. To this day, he refuses to go back. I love your impressions. My favorite is Mater, but I'm Loving Gollum!
We got back from our Disneyland vacation a few days ago! We rode the Carousel with Peter Pan and Wendy!
Hahahahaha loved how you didnāt say āIām not gonna say that Disneyland is better because thatās where Walt walked,ā¦ā (but said it).
I never would have guessed it was better than WDW til I made my first trip to Disneyland this year. I agree 1000%
That's why after waiting for more than 40 years, we finally went to Disneyland Anaheim, Ca. We don't save for Disney World. While I resides in Asia, I don't even bother to go to Disney Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong or even Paris. We want to go to the ORIGINAL Disneyland. Can't wait to meet you there, Trevor and family šā¤ Ps. But in 2022 we barely met any characters, perhaps because it's still COVID. We also contracted Covid after Disneyland š but it's worth itš. Definitely will go again in June 2024 ā¤ļø
Awesome video, we recently went to Disneyland and we were so close to going to WDW, glad we didnāt! I CAN NOT WAIT until Disneyland Forward gets the green light to start!!!!!
thank you trevor ! i was so disappointed in Floridaās tower of terror , when it was over i was āis that it?ā , i just love disneyland and California Adventure because they are packed with great attractions
Iāve been to all the Disney parks except for Shanghai and although each park has its claim-to-fame, Disneyland is still the one that is peak Disney magic. Disneyland feels like the best version of a family-owned theme park where āeverybody knows your nameā. Itās due to the chill vibe of the park and its guests. The other parks, albeit very impressive and fun, just seem a little ācorporateā to me. Especially WDW.
My good sir, The Matterhorn has the Abominable Snowman, Exepedition Everest has Yeti! š (per the ride description on the Disneyland website). I love your videos! I have been sharing them with my family, as they are pros at WDW, but a lot of them have never been to Disneyland, and we have a big trip in September!
I'm going to Disneyland for the first time in one month. Your videos really helped me! Thanks for your amazing videos. Greets from a little city in Chile!
