@drewstinson3901

Also, as for the "experiment," there is footage of people holding their faces, clothed arms, etc., to the fire for extended periods of time -- much longer than your brief passes -- and they aren't burned or even ignited.

@Brukrex

Why do people get surprised when God uses physics to do something? He has always been using what He created to achieve His purposes. Let's say that God changed the fire modules so that they no longer burn, and science explained why it doesn't burn anymore. The point is that God did it, and He can do it however He wants. 😂

@maxavail

3:07 it's actually for the first minute, not 33 minutes. This is according to an Orthodox priest from the Holy Sepulcher. And it's not that the fire does not burn at all but it lights up much later than a regular fire so it can touch human hair and tissue for much longer before lighting them up. That's miraculous enough, considering it lights up a candle wick, which is much thicker that a hair, instantly. Of course the author of this documentary will red herring viewers with his 33 minutes, distracting them from the actual miracle. Also notable that he simply shrugs when asked about the split door pillar from whence the fire came out after the prayers had been uttered in 1580, the year the Armenians closed the Church for the Orthodox. That's not enough to convince the author either. Notice how he gets convinced by straw men, red herrings and Greek fire conjectures to NOT believe but he never gets convinced by counter evidence to believe. You think this is by accident ? You think him posting this just after the Orthodox Pascha is also an accident ?
7:23 more lies, there is no evidence that prior to 1481 the Patriarch did NOT have to go into the tomb and pray for the holy light in there. First record of X does not mean X had happened then and there for the first time.
16:57 the author starts with "I don't know", to sympathize with the viewers' doubt which he himself had built up to that moment, and thus bring them into his frame, then at 17:01 he's telling viewers with a single glance he KNOWS it was Greek fire and you'd be a fool to believe otherwise. Very subtle manipulation. This video is indeed a masterwork of deception. Also, consider this, if it was indeed Greek fire lighting up within the Holy Sepulcher by itself, then why is there no account of this Greek fire lighting up Byzantine ships carrying it as a weapon of war before being lit up intentionally ? If Greek fire were used as a weapon at sea, it would be useless if it caught fire by itself unintended.

@stavrob1

Ask the Armenians why God did not allow them to receive the Holy Fire? But instead it split the marble pillar outside and went to the Greek Patriarch.

@johnjay7255

I'd like to add that many accounts of Christian practices were not publicized so as to protect it. This is what Holy Tradition is.

@Ovi_B

Christ is risen!

One thing which should be kept in mind by everybody: "God does not perform miracles just to please people".

@thegeorgehere

2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

@Love.Yah.

Hallelujah CHRIST is RISEN 🙌❤️✝️🙏
The light is real or not doesn’t matter ... to some are and others not ...
Should not affect our faith as followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ king of kings and Lord of Glory 🙏✝️

@CyprusHot

Important point: Greek fire caused ships to be sunk… it’s hard to imagine how at that time they perfected the method of creating Greek fire to just candles …

@JotMaxi

Seriously thank you, the first 3 videos I found were just people explaining the event of the "miracle" and not investigating it - The silver lantern, the eyes of the guys coming out of the tomb, and the Greek priest asking for the video to be cut after the Armenian priest told the truth... pretty much says it all! But I'm gonna watch part 2 anyway!

@LizValentine33

It is not a fire like we know. It is actually light. Because In Aramaic we say light to that.

@TaunoErik

A miracle happens at every communion: the wine becomes the blood of Christ and the bread becomes the body of Christ.

@CyprusHot

The historian Eusebius writes in his Life of Constantine, which dates from around 328 AD, about an interesting occurrence in Jerusalem of Easter in the year 162. When the church wardens were about to fill the lamps to make them ready to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, they suddenly noticed that there was no more oil left to pour in the lamps. Upon this, Bishop Narcissus of Jerusalem ordered the candles to be filled with water. He then told the wardens to ignite them. In front of the eyes of all present every single lamp burned as if filled with pure oil. Christian Orthodox tradition holds that this miracle, which predates the construction of the Holy Sepulchre in the 4th century, is related to the Miracle of the Holy Fire, though doctrine states differences between the two, as the former was a one-time occurrence while the Miracle of the Holy Fire occurs every year. However, they have in common the premise that God has produced fire where there should, logically speaking, have been none.

Egeria: light coming from the chapel

Around 385 AD, Egeria, a noble woman from Spain, traveled to Palestine. In the account of her journey, she speaks of a ceremony by the Holy Sepulchre of Christ, where a light comes forth (ejicitur) from the small chapel enclosing the tomb, by which the entire church is filled with an infinite light (lumen infinitum).

@KyriakosDrousiotis

Haha come on man, try your experiment on your hair and we will talk again 😂

@Naty-r3f

Great work brother!

@Misspolly3

This fire is holy I do it every Easter to put my face to this holy fire!!!

@BridgetIsacs

Thanks for making this! I’m Protestant and just found out about the Holy Fire from my YouTube suggested feed and wanted to investigate!

@Mother-of-Church

The devil is not sleeping guys. Be careful, believe and open your hearts. THATS TRUE ❤️‍🔥🔥

@scented-leafpelargonium3366

Very interesting video though and well put together with integrity and without prejudice. Great idea to research this tradition and the history of it, even ending up in Jerusalem. Well done! 🤗
