Just to get a little serious - AZKi and Pekora both spoke like the kind of leader I would want to follow - Honest, humble, clear on explanation, doesn't take herself too seriously, effusive with praise for those who deserve it, giving newbies opportunities and all in all just wanting her viewers to have fun. On the brighter side, having the kusogakis join in made things really light-hearted and the whole thing even more enjoyable in a different way XD
Thanks to Pekora and Azki for this event. Sad they had to rush it coz of recent graduations etc etc but still, us holo fans enjoyed it all the way. So, thank you! Cheers for more in the future!
yup, as expected of pekora, despite all the titles that she has like demon king or war criminal she is a really capable and compassionate rabbit that makes sure her teammates to have fun and have their own initiative for these types of event, especially for flow glow, if they shine in these events then more fans will be aware of them and gain more viewers, notice how in the PVP peko-chans interactions are mostly with the flow glow, enemy or allies.
It's too bad they had to rush things honestly because I think there were a lot of ways to have balanced things out. Glad they managed to turn it into content though with the rock fight. Overall happy that there are more events and it's always fun to watch the newcomers interact with their senpais
I not consistently watched Chihaya and Vivi POV in PVP. Vivi totally surprised me that I thought she was a beginner of game(not only Rust but also other games), but in the end of event she growth very quickly and eager to try things in game. And in this event I really like the interaction between FG and other senpais , they really got familiar with each other. And the betrayed-action I think itโs because most of the members are beginners, they donโt know which actions is OK and which is too over, just like Kanade in HoloGTA. The difference is HoloGTA have more members and some of them like FBK and Botan knows how to do that action.
In the end there were a lot of factors that went into why it turned out how it did. Won't go into specifics, but they are issues easily solvable if they do it again. Speaking for myself I had fun watching it even if it was quite limited in duration. The PvE period made up for the short pvp time since so much happened there.
Another really cool season. I hope there's another one next year. ๐
Watching the base raiding and the rock melee finale makes me want to see Pekora and co. play a survival game with better melee combat and slightly more structured PvP, like V Rising or Soul Mask. I think the fantasy elements of those games would also really suit the colorful Hololive members. The PvE content for V Rising is especially structured, and i think would make good PvE streams of them engaging in teamwork (or sabotage).
I watched both team A (Pekora) and team B (Vivi) POV. Overall, I'd say, both teams had their fun and did their best. Sure, in the end Pekora's base was being camped and finally was taken over (Pekora fighting behind the clay oven and throwing grenades) and I can imagine it might felt a bit frustrating to the losing team, but never-the-less, like Pekora said, nobody rage quit it but fought till the end. Also, it was clear that Pekora did try to change up the situation when she tried to win over Vivi and the next day the whole Flow Glow and also Matsuri. But a human factor played a role and either the girls did not get the hint or were just too loyal. Vivi did say that she wanted to play a double-agent but failed to deliver that act (also why she changed her story and confused Pekora when Pekora was talking to her). So, can be that some girls did not get the hint about balancing the teams. And even that stone fight in the end was an attempt to try to change the outcome a bit. So, Pekora did not go down just without trying to balance the situation. And, as she said, she did discuss it with AZKi behind the scenes. So, both teams did their best in given situation. For me it was fun. Yeah, there were some "fans" who did their best in infighting and in backseating, but that is what Korone told about in her stream. Some '"fans" only join to backseat big events like this. Yeah, they also could not like some of the rules but these rules were there to offer a chance to have a fun, even for players who had never played Rust before. It was not a hardcore competitive Rust. If the goal would be being as competitive as possible they could try to release Botan to the whole server.
I kinda don't understand why people take these events so seriously, like I really enjoyed last Rust seasons and was looking forward to this one, sure it was pretty rushed compared to previous seasons due to graduations, not fitting schedules etc, but I think its way more enjoyable to accept it and focus on the positive aspects of this event, the PvE part was really fun, had many hilarious moments and they were able to make great memories with Shion! Even tho the PVP was the weakest part of this event, I'm still really proud of everyone especially Pekora, who tried her best to make it a fun experience for the member who are new to FPS/Rust PVP and gained some valuable lessons for future events, they definitely deserve to be cut some slack... In general I got that feeling that because there were some huge succesfull holo events in the past many get their expectations way too high up and are immediately unsatisfied and harsh to the girls if not everything is going smoothly or is another huge success...
About AZKi's comment on the rules, she misunderstood the rules and told her team that you can only get the skull of the opponent they killed (when the rule allow you to retrieve the your teams' skulls that the opponent was carrying if you killed them). Not sure if there was another instance, if so, please let me know in the comment. 1:28 Shion's fireworks and picture compilation - https://youtu.be/ugISD2kV9O8
there is pretty an easy solution for that, make 2 different pools for the roulette, 1st pool are the pros and experienced ones, then you do the roulette and everyone get the same amount, then afterwards roulette the newbies and less experienced ones
maybe need 2 roulettes to balance it out.. roulette A for Veteran FPS player or rust, Roulette B for new to FPS or Rust.. like Champions League there 4 pots for 1,2,3,4.. and again depend how many and who participating
The timing was a bit off, it was supposed to be late May. That's why a lot couldn't join. But Pekora wanted to push the event forward for the graduates in case they wanted to join, and for Shion especially so they could all make memories with one another. Lots of complaints about the lack of PVP (myself included if I'm being honest) but they wanted to make sure people are able to join and that they could avoid bad feelings from fans or members, as well as being beginner friendly.
Wow Peko is such a great senpai! I knew Peko was after a traitor and not just doing one of her usual gags. I think the people who might have bitten would have been (taking into account they would have to betray AZKi and GOD): Miko: Of course but they would have turned on each other at the drop of a pin. Suisei: But she would have flipped sides if Suiseipath was in control and gotten bored. Koyo: Only if her inventory isn't full. Why no Moona? Well she always plays her role really straight. Kiara? She would end up killing Peko by mistake and end up benefiting the opposing team!
Strange... I hear from some random commentor that the a lot of the Nousagis were really salty mad that Pekora's team lost really bad because of the imbalance in skilled players.. But i don't see where and when it happened at all...
Think they should just do a simple raid the TC to win battle
AZKi is honestly too humble. She should've taken a little more credit haha
I just couldn't stand to watch pekora team in this pvp holorust season
