I would create myself a load of pocket-size cards just printed out on paper with a Japanese word on the front and the English word on the back. Then put dozen of them in a back pocket each morning. When you have a moment at work, pull out one and try to remember what the word is, then deposit the card in another pocket. By the end of the day you should be able to get through a dozen words. You can then shuffle the word cards back into the pack and rinse-repeat every day.

I'd find it very satisfying to know I tested myself on 60 words a week, especially if I tallied how many I got right and see how I improve over time.

I'm going through some of your previously posted videos so I'm a little late to this discussion. Yes, I do agree with you about the challenges with language learning while working a full-time job. Love the idea of podcasts or videos for listening practice. I usually do those on my lunch break at work. The morning train commute is a bit noisy; I usually do vocab flashcards or read some Todai Easy Japanese on my phone. I also borrow kid level books (with furigana) from my Japanese school library. When I'm tired and don't want to study, I watch or re-watch your videos for motivation!
