One thing that stands out to me in Whipped into Shape is the fact that Callahan uses Brooke's self-defense segment as argument for her being guilty. I know the point is "She can hurt people so she could have killed her husband", but it sounds very much like "Her being able to defend herself in the case of being attacked makes her guilty". In a society where women are regularly harrassed and attacked, both in and out of the home, any bit of self-defense knowledge is very valuable, and her being assumed guilty over having it and giving it to her fans smells like victim-blaming. Again, this is really just subtext and I might be reading a little much into it x) But I find that bit interesting.

Don’t know if anyone else has brought it up, but at the end of Take It Like A Man, Emmett uses the test strip he put in his pocket and puts on the “Subtext” frangrance!

I saw Legally Blonde as part of a national tour and it was an outdoor theater. It started raining during intermission but the show went on. So whipped into shape IN THE RAIN!!!

Whipped Into Shape will never not be impressive. Seriously, that workout while singing?? Wow. And Take It Like A Man may be the only love song I actually love and don't just tolerate. Mortius' colour scheme being inspired by Legally Blonde is just so sweet btw. I love it! ❤

During the whipped into shape song, if you listen, you can hear Elle trying to say "I can talk to her, she's a Delta Nu" but no one was listening. Also appreciate that this song where they are realizing their blossoming feelings is one where they have harmonies :D

I love the detail that after Emmet goes through all the shirts Elle specifically grabs the one he does like to have someone bring out other pieces that will go well with it. Like, she's doing this make-over for him and want him to still be comfortable/like it. Much like how Emmet adores watching Elle be Elle. (The sole exception we get to see is because he was stressed out after being chewed out by Calahan about the alibi).

Whipped Into Shape is the incarnation of the concept of the whole musical, which is: they really didn't need to put so much effort into an already iconic and successful I.P. to gain success. The fact they did is so moving to me, and also contributes to the specific feeling of wonder this musical has

Take it like a man makes me cry too. I love that Emmett seems to be singing “here you become what you’re supposed to be…ect” TO Elle. Like he sees her too 😭

Apparently the whipped into shape crew had to do major skipping training every rehearsal to get them to the point they could do the number. Apparently it was super intense.
