Finally somone tells story of my life, this was me at 11๐ข rapped by somone old enough to be my father after i lost my mum. I became undeniably promiscuous. I never knew what was wrong with me, i couldn't confind on anyone as i was afraid of being judged. It lingered till i got into higher institution where i studied nursing, there i started healing on my own. It wasn't easy i sware. Please parents watch over your kids, somethings might go wrong and they will lack the courage to speak to anyone about it. Draw them closer and never give them any reason to be scared of you. Good one Sonia, thanks for this masterpiece โค though it opened a past wound but never the less i love you.
I've dealt with so many cases like this in my field of work.....this movie needed to be made...it will trigger women I know, who never want to remember.... this is so deep.....the second rape was the trigger....that brought back all the pain.... she tried to surpress..... rape is never an easy thing to deal with....indeed it was an emotional reaction to the trauma.... .now she's channeling out those uncontrollable emotions in sex, believing that will relieve her of the pain...women that are going thru this must find a trustee to talk to and seek help, because when not helped it can lead to Mental Health issues which can lead to suicide.... thank you Sosoliso for another masterpiece....you are in a league of your own.... in these Nollywood Streets.
This is one of the reasons why we should not be fast to judge promiscuous women without knowing their story. Iโm so glad Sonia decided to tackle this issue in a movie. Very good movie
Who else is lying down watching and reading comments. Sonia Uche just served us another delicious and appetising meal lets fesst ๐
Every child deserves a dad like Gloria's father who is ready to listen, most parents don't give an hearing ear to their children
I am a School Counsellor and I am so happy to see movies like these that are educational on topics like these that are so sensitive and usually covered up in our Society. This movie teachers can use this as a teaching tool in the classroom to bring awareness on this issue. Families can sit and watch this movie and parents discuss these things with your children it is very common I see this behavior displayed in so much of my students that have been sexually abused or rape. Many time teachers , parents and family members you must learn to be very observant with your children and allow them to talk freely with you, more than half of the time abuse and rape is done by a family member or a friend . When you see your children behaviors start changing dont label them as bad or ashowo these behaviors majority of the time is a childs way of responding to trauma and abuse. They need you to believe them listen to them and support them not redicule and beat and curse them. I Soso you did and awesome job on this piece it is emotional and educational. My Nollywood Queen so proud of you.
Who is here on the 28th of January to support the queen of Nollywood, the 001 , her royal magesty sonia uche pls tumb up
Welcome back everyone, we thank God for the gift of life and a successful upload. Let's support Sonia Uche on this one
Soso can stress us in movies but seeing on social media this young lady seems like a very reserved person and I love that about her anyone who agree with me pls hit like button โคโค
James Gardiner is one of my favorite actors. He never does too much and always brings a pure, raw and natural quality to the screen. Can we please show some love for Honest James ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ญ โคโคโคโจโจโจโโโ๐๐๐
This was the most accurate depiction of what really happens within cultures that tend to turn a blind eye to mental and psychological trauma. Thank you Sonia foe being so aware of what goes on around us and keeping us your audience engaged in situations that are not always visible in film. โค
I am so convinced that @sonia uche can master any role! I love her versatility! This movie is a movie of deliverance and overcoming the trauma of double rape! Therapy is a good, helpful, and salubrious tool! I love how she found a man who didnโt want to take advantage of her trauma pain but loved her enough that he wanted her to be healed and he loved both versions of her which is a form of respect.
I love the Fact that Daddy was so supportive of her daughter but the part of pretending to be her daughter killed me to laughter and the call at you are the devilโs ๐๐๐what great Father He didnโt condemn her daughter or shout at her but was willing to her find solutions โค
One of the silent issues in our society that is least talked about. Sonia, thank you for portraying this so well and educating us. I have saved it as one of my favorites. Go you! ๐๐๐
I think we can all agree that Sonia rocks as a village girlโค๐๐ ... a million views within the weekend for our girl๐
James Gardener is a breath of fresh air. Sosoliso, you choose the right characters /persons to do the job. Especially persons who are not used often in the acting industry. Good lesson
BRAVO!!! This is Sonia Ucheโs BEST performance !!! And she deserves an award for this performance! ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐น๐น๐ค๐ค๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ. The story is very enlightening๐๐พ, very emotional๐ and powerful ๐ช๐พ. An introduction to what is called ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences). They are traumatic events experienced during childhood ( sexual , emotional and physical abuse to mention a few) and connection to increased risk for developing mental health problems later in life as adults. Our Nigerian and other African societies do NOT make these connections! A lot of our people that have mental health problems have ACEs and NEED therapy! Thank you again for shedding light on this critical matter in our African societies๐๐พ. Kudos to the cast ( Mr Adjorlolo, James Gardiner (Alex), and Valentine. ) plus the crew๐๐พ๐น๐ค๐๐๐พโ๐พ๐ช๐พ. Keep bringing these type of enlightening stories. Thank you! ๐๐ฅฐ๐โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐น๐น๐น
EXCEPTIONAL MOVIE!!!!! Queen indeed. Not only did Sonia produce a great script, she executed the role to an absolute PERFECTION. Kudos to all the cast and crew, and to the script writer, a million thanks for this amazing heartfelt story. I hope this movie reaches far, and lots of people can be less judgmental and more empathetic to others. :face-red-heart-shape:๐๐ฅ๐
The very reason why I love Sonia Uche. Her movies are always educational. Sheโs actually sending a message about how in some cases victims of sexual assault or rape become addicted to sex and how to handle the situation if youโre around people like that. This worldโฆ! What have we not seen!
