@SamuelRivera_DAMN

I have a feeling history will see these conversations as obvious red flags we chose to overlook.

@mattdelcomyn8012

In my modest opinion this is one of the most important interviews of our time. Brooke did an amazing job continuously firing pertinent questions at Hinton. And Hinton never missed a beat. What a mind. But NOTHING compared to the AI that is being born right now in laboratories around the world. Let that sink in!! Hintons point about this being emotionally hard to get because we’ve never encountered a force that is so much more intelligent than us is astounding and terrifying. Excellent journalism. Thank you CBS!!

@Cubewood

Fantastic interview, refreshing to see a mainstream media journalist asking all the right questions regarding AI. Clearly done his research.

@kvinayaks

Hearing Geoffrey Hinton say, "First of all, you have to decide which countries are still democracies," honestly gave me chills.
Thank you for speaking truth.

@varundhawan45

The best 50 mins spent this weekend was listening to Hinton.

@The_FedEx_Pope

This was an extraordinary hour of television. Brook did an excellent job with his pacing, and asked just the right questions -- handled the whole thing perfectly. Professor Hinton was, as always, a joy to listen to. I'd say in this case he really nailed down some specifics that often get overlooked in these "big picture" overviews of AI that are meant for a general audience. Very illuminating. Kudos to CBS for his giving this subject matter sufficient airtime.

@labSeta

Interviewer did a great job here !

@FollowFunk

It’s not that AI is going to take control from us by force, it’s that we are going to GIVE AI control. By definition that’s our goal.

@OutpostMJ

This was the most detailed, articulate , insightful interview/short-form piece on AI and its possible/probable and proximate wide-reaching impact on humanity I've encountered outside a book or documentary. Excellent.

@MsHelloWorldtv

I love how all the experts say this could go really bad, but everything's still full steam ahead 🤦‍♀️

@djdollase

VERY interesting interview and a great cautionary tale! So glad I’m watching the full interview instead of just the edited program version. Much more info and more “scary”.

@csmarkham

CBS: Thanks for putting this out in free streaming. Consider a NOVA-like series focusing on this. The public need repeat exposures, probably in small doses, with a bit less drama than some other AI-focused ‘scare’ channels to keep this in the front-of-mind of public issues.

@MegCadoux

Fascinating interview. Silva-Braga did an excellent job, asking all the right questions. Hinton's reflections were thoughtful and very clearly expressed. Very informative. Thank you CBS!

@autobeltiosi

"I'm sorry, Dave. I’m afraid I can’t do that"

@kaik9960

Hinton doesn’t come across as a very warm or emotionally expressive person. But beneath his dry, logical demeanor, his thinking is deeply rooted in compassion for mankind. Love his sarcasm too. Much respect to him

@ThomasDohertyJD

Brook is a good interviewer. Establishes rapport, asks insightful and entertaining questions.

@Misho73bg

This man is not just clever, as all we know that. But he is tremendously wise. By watching him I can't stop recall Yoda :-) Geoffrey and Mo are my personal heroes.

@blackhero72

Most people have no idea what’s coming. This is what keeps me up at night from time to time.

@loopuleasa

35:00 "We have a really cute Tiger cub"
LMAO, never stop being brilliant Geoff

@paulbrinich8077

Honestly I did not expect such a great interview from CBS. Thoughtful, incisive questions and follow-ups!
