"I am a weapon of massive consumption, and its not my fault, its how i'm programmed to function" What an awesome line
I miss her type of artist. A songstress with a mellow and sweet voice but with lyricisms that pack a symphony of sarcasm, viciousness, and truth that one might fail to notice at first because of how sweet and casual she is singing it. She’s like that rebellious girl who doesn’t try too hard. Love her a lot.
I was obsessed with this song as a 11 year old girl. here I am, 26 years old and the amount of nostalgia I’m feeling now gives me goosebumps
It's 2018...10 years later this song feels more relatable than ever...what a shame
Lily Allen. One of the most underrated artists walking this earth. I hope she creates a comeback soon.
my mum would listen to this song in long car drives a lot and i heard it playing somewhere and it gave such a surreal feeling and honestly as a little kid i never realised how actually good the song is. this song has an un replicatable style
Her lyrics are getting more and more relevant with each year that passes. Most underrated artist on this planet. Her mellow and sweet voice combined with her British accent makes the lyrics pop out even more. It's September 2024 and I haven't heard this song since it came out and I still know every single word. This is how you know the artist has an impact. Lily, lots of love to you.
Lily Allen was wayy ahead of her time..
I like how brutally honest and unapologetically truthful she is. She's not trying to sell herself under an exaggerated image or have an alter ego, she is just spitting facts about life in this modern age and its so relatable.
This song is a time capsule for sure. A wave of nostalgia hits me every time I hear the chorus
It's currently 2024 and it's AWESOME to see people coming back to this masterpiece so many years later! Thank you Lily! ❤️
Her lyrics are so relevant.
For all you none Brits, "I'll look at The Sun and I'll look in the Mirror" are two British newspapers for anyone who's unaware. One of my favourite lines of the whole song, very clever
this song just unlocked memories i didn’t even realise i had
Here I am 15 years later listening to this great song which just doesn't get old. And what a genius music video as well!!!
"I don't know what's right or what's real anymore" I can't relate more
The chord progressions in the chorus are killing me. This is massively underrated.
I finally understand her, she’s singing exactly what I feel like right now
I bought this album back when it was released. This song and "Chinese" are my favorites. The lyrics are so ahead of its time.
