@yellOStuntguy

Whoa. I didn't expect a surprise appearance from Jonathan Ferguson, the Keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK. I thought I was on the wrong channel.

@politicscommentator

Thank you guys for doing a video on the Mexican-American War. Keep up the good work.

@joshimpinto159

I remember examining the Mexican-American War in high-school. My history teacher discussed this subject, and assigned a report on the subject - I was enthralled by the subject in high-school, and I'm still enthralled by the subject to this day.

Thank you for posting another fascinating military documentary! It was very insightful.

@ShubhamMishrabro

I have really developed love for 19th century. It features so many unique wars and stories you won't believe. Everyone is overlapping with each other

@1969Risky

Thanks to Jesse & the team for this episode. When I was in high school (Australia), the Mexican-American War was barely touched in my modern history classes as we covered from 1789-1949. The detail Real Time History delves into making these episodes is the highlight & I watch & rewatch intensely. Can't wait for the next episode. The Emu War in Australia is a weird one, the Emus won. It would be nice to see an episode of that!

@BlankoPie

It’s crazy to think about how powerful and influential Texas and California have become since then. You literally had a few hundred men taking cities that now have tens of millions of people in them.

@yellowmustard7482

This is one i was waitin on, Mexican-American war with realtimehistory! Thanks guys, def my favourite military history channel.

@HistoryBeyondBordersTV

Fantastic documentary on the Mexican-American War! The detailed breakdown of battles like Palo Alto and Buena Vista, combined with the political context of Manifest Destiny, really brings this conflict to life. Great job highlighting both sides’ struggles and the war’s lasting impact!

@CinematicMagic

This is the best video of yours yet, in so many aspects. In today’s competitive youtube history climate with really detailed and entertaining animation and music, doing stuff that is fun, new, and out of the box thinking like the musket segment, was really a great watch.

@nathanappleby5342

I thank Real Time History for posting this documentary. Being a visual learner with animated battle maps, I very much appreciate it as I now have the chance to learn about the war like never before!

@krispykremes2482

It's rare to see someone who can nail the pronunciation of so many different languages. respect.

@earljohnson50

People truly underestimate how important this war is in American history. On the one hand, you have the US achieving manifest destiny by taking over much territory of the Mexican Empire (itself inheriting those lands from the Spanish). On the other hand, you have all new territories that came under American control which meant that these territories were now up for grabs from pro-slavery and abolitionist politics which would have a big part in the civil war kicking off.

@LibertyandFreedom4

.69 caliber, I do not think people understand the horrific injuries a bullet like that could inflict. Yes, not traveling at the speeds we can generate today with our technology but fast enough to make the squishy parts of the human body into a bloody mess. Not to say when it hits bone which will most likely shatter.

@equalopportunityoffender1816

Great video! It's weird to see battles fought near where I live being covered on this channel, I live a short distance from the San Pasqual Battlefield in Escondido, California and hike the area regularly.

@tillposer

Mr. Alexander, I said it once and I will say it again: It is a real pleasure listening to a correctly ponounced, meticulously reasearched presentation.

@micahistory

very interesting as usual, I appreciate the deep dive into this war which is often simplified or overlooked

@mcgregorpiper

Santa Anna began his political career as a Federalist and was popular in Texas. However, his conversion to a Centrist was a factor in the Texas revolution.

@PatchesBlanche

I’ve been waiting for a good documentary on the Mex/US war for a good while .
