The guy who got stabbed is Derek Dyckhoff, he actually survived this stabbing. The attacker was arrested and charged with attempted murder, his name is Moses Lewin. This happened in Canada in 2023.

Tbh as a kickboxing coach I tell my guys and kids most times fighting someone isn’t worth it. You never know what somebody has or who’s a crash dummy and is willing to throw away their lives. Only fight if you or your loved one life depends on it. It’s better to be a warrior in a garden then a gardener in a war

I’m a martial arts instructor, i always preach to all of my students to avoid confrontation involving weapons as best as possible. With that being said, when it comes to weapons that are used to stab or slash, they are not useful against a number of people. So for me, the saddest part is that if enough people on that subway decided to help. Despite their fear of a “knife”, one man with a blade cannot fight off 3…4…5…people holding him down. If others had the courage to act then the man on the ground wouldn’t have suffered as many stab wounds as he did. It makes you think about the psychology of people. Nobody wants to risk their life for someone else but the second we’re in danger we pray someone comes to our rescue..
