Interesting, I noticed in this video too that her scenes with Nate, she tends to wear a more pale shade of purple, almost like she’s dulling herself down for him. She wears darker colours when she’s single or fighting with Nate.

I also believe the reason why she has purple and cherries is that has a lot to do with Mexican culture specially in California. Many of Maddys outfits are similar to that of Selena Quintanilla. Which, of course she does listen to her music in one of the scenes when she’s babysitting. And the cherries believe it or not there is a Chicano culture behind it.❤ all these details are just so awesome. But the meaning behind the colors of the characters you are right about that I just find it interesting that they also correlate with what I think as well.😊😅
