@KrayKrayg

Something else that is fun to think about is in the same way spring follows winter, Anna was born after Elsa. The sisters reflect the seasons.

@arunimaverma8130

I agree. The warm tones (even in her hair) make it look more evergreen and summer and as she was struck in the heart and starts going cold her hair and outfit loses the warmness. That and ofc how you said she is completely involved in her sister

@tgbluewolf

Your statement about Anna's travel outfit reflecting that her focus is Elsa just made me realize that said travel outfit has the same (or almost) colors as Elsa's coronation outfit.

@thequeenofbooks24

Also I’ve just noticed that Anna wears similar clothes for the rest of the movie (the magenta cloak) to Elsa’s coronation dress!

@DaniellaRoselia

So I just realized that Anna’s color palette resembles Elsa’s when she’s at the party. It’s almost like it’s foreshadowing Anna becoming queen. But it could also be more deeply symbolic. Like Anna is wearing her “home palette” where she’s most comfortable: at home where the party takes place. Elsa always wore blue, especially when she found comfort being isolated, but then wears that bright color palette while feeling deeply uncomfortable at the party. Elsa’s comfort color palette returns when she runs off and is alone and free. Anna, on the other hand, wears the similar ‘uncomfortable’ color palette when she has to leave the castle and search for Elsa.

@Jetrowdy

I also love how in Frozen 2 when Anna is crowned Queen, her gown is mostly emerald green with purple! I love how it still represents her, but more mature and wiser :)

@spidergwennie6272

i think thats why i never preferred her winter outfit.... story wise, it also makes sense that its not anna's aesthetic since it was just a random dress she picked up at oaken's shop.

@juliasings6131

I know it's not the most iconic dress in the movies, but I really love when Anna is put in the more pale green dress from the end of the movie. You can tell it's her comfort color and her comfort shade because it's the color she wears as a child and also the one she wears during do you wanna build a snowman, before her parents leave. She wears pink and blue for the journey, and I'd almost say that could also be because they aren't her clothes. They're just as iconic, and they still fit the movie's color scheme, but they aren't her colors. Her coronation dress is a more vibrant green because it's a special occasion. But she seems to really love that softer green for casual occasions, and I really love that. I'm playing anna in frozen jr rn (we open tomorrow!) And I chose a very similar shade of green for my eye shadow because I think it might honestly be her favorite color

@uznaimat7072

Anna also wears a significant amount of black, more than Elsa, who stops wearing the color after her Let It Go sequence. Anna continues to wear black in the sequel, but I'm not sure what the symbolism is here.

@mynameisreallycool1

Also, she got her winter outfit from a store because she desperately needed something warm in the moments. Situations like that are not the time to be picky about colors.

@beanzandcats2945

Some other food for thought that I found interesting. In another video it’s talked about how When elsa restricts herself and is afraid she wears magentas and dark blues like in her coronation. Elsa’s fear comes from her not wanting to hurt others the way she did Anna. So Anna wearing the magenta and dark blues especially when they see each other in the castle it acts as a nod to Anna being a reminder to Elsa of her fears and why she restricts her power in the first place.

@its_nifler

Oof, the green fits her so much better though..

@vvgirl6173

I just realised that Anna's winter outfit is the same colour as Elsa's coronation outfit.

A magenta cape over teal.

But Anna's dress is dark blue on the lower half, which might represent her worry?

Anna wearing Elsa's colours may represent that she's always thinking about her sister.

@sapphicwitchx

ur color analysis videos are my favorite thing! 😍😍

@Midnight-May

Can you do Elsa next?

@starsneptunexx

Anna’s winter outfit also resembles a more simplified version of a Bunad dress (a traditional garment worn in norway, which is the country that frozen takes place in)

@dashaeggleston8177

I feel like its also worth noting that Anna's "traveling clothes" almost mirror/ mimic Elsa's coronation gown

@yymouseyy1434

The dress that Anna wears looks throughout most of the movie is simular to the one Elsa wore during the coronation

@todorokis_trauma_kettle

She also wears a green gown when she’s crowned queen in the second movie

@LotusRose745

I think it also brings out her eyes and hair.
