IMPORTANT EDIT: After several more watchings, FrostyZako has compiled his own thoughts and clarifications on this video. There are some much needed clarifications on potentially misleading sections of the history that this video has covered. Please read about them here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Q8nzdqtn86B5Ewo6i7eb_vVBddeYH093lOQmxAiSlrg

I am EXTREMELY grateful to Zako's help in every step of this video's production even after its final release. Check the community post on my channel page for more info: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgzetxdvlR5D7mtdul54AaABCQ

Under no circumstances should anyone watching this video attempt to seek out or harass any of the individuals shown in this video. I do not condone cheating nor do I condone harassment. Please behave yourselves.

Edit: Subtitles have now been added. Thank you all so much for watching!

I hope to have a slightly more frequent upload schedule in the future (1-2 vids per month hopefully). This video was the result of over a month of consolidating 10+ years of information. That being said, my job was just to put all of the pieces together. The pieces themselves were almost entirely provided by SM64 Historian FrostyZako. Zako's incredible work is essentially what made this whole video possible. He additionally helped me through the entire writing process by constantly providing me with even more detailed information and updating his own writings accordingly. This went a long way in helping this video to be as complete as it is. Many of those extra details go beyond the scope of this video though, so please check out Zako's full writeups on the subject for a more in depth look. There's even a cheater or two that I didn't cover here. Links in the description. :)

@furuyawn

"ah, the antelope of death" im using that phrase from now on anytime anything mildly inconvenient happens to me

@toneillable

That Myles dude got caught and immediately gave an anime villain monologue.

@beegyoshi4450

that silence after 5:47 was quite terrifying because im watching that at 1 in the morning

@youwerethere

ToT apology: genuine and honest

Myles apology: doofenshmirtz backstory

@realmackle

Imagine getting caught for a splice because you wouldnt shut up about yourself lmfao

@fossilizedamber

Normal cheater apology : I'm so sorry it'll never happen again

Myles: ah, the antelope of death, we must discuss this later.

@TheLemonyBard

Myles could have stopped at “I’ll never do it again,” but I guess he just HAD to be as extra as possible and make it sound like he got caught murdering someone

@LuxMK6

What I find hilarious is the holy moly guy, if he just kept his mouth shut people wouldn't have suspected anything, yet he decided to go and brag about it. I love it its so funny to me

@Trans_witch

The audio cutting out at 5:41 scared the shit out of me

@taskmagician4289

Tot seems like a really genuine guy, his response was perfect and we shouldn’t hold anything against him especially since he was literally a kid. A kid making dumb decisions, I wouldn’t even hold it against him if he was a legal adult (18). Of course a teenager isn’t going to make the best decisions, adolescence are the years that teaches us what not do do from trail and error. Honestly he shouldn’t even feel bad about it, just be like yeah I fucked up but I learned from it and moved on. As should everyone else.

@TheRealGuywithoutaMustache

Myles acted like he was confessing to premeditated murder with his post

@shazmah

The bit about runners who were falsely accused and subsequently retired while the community was paranoid is interesting, I bet there's a lot of stories to tell from that time

@RussyPopDnD

Myles' confession post reads like a Creepypasta holy shit

@stinknicclis

I like how ToT makes a genuine apology and then Myles just has this villain monologue

@casualbiscuit

“Ah, the antelope of death” is now one of my favorite quotes

@afk797_

Yeah Baby. You can play like TAS. Very Impressive. Back in 2004 I held the 16 Star Record for several years. Holy Moly

@trequor

We can't just gloss over the fact that ToT cheated as a teenager and regretted it as an adult. We're all ashamed of the way we acted when we were 14.

@colwellalec

Respect ToT a lot for that, dude just came right out and was like "yeah, i was a kid, I was competitive, i did a stupid thing, and I'm extremely ashamed I cheated now" and took the opportunity he was given to come out and say that. Can respect that a lot more than someone in continual denial, deflecting onto others, and pretending nothing happened in the face of overwhelming evidence.

@SomeIcelandicDude

Charlie Brown gotten a lot better since the Christmas Special.
