I'm back to making SF vlogs for a while! ⋆. 𐙚 ˚

@Bestbeachesincalifornia

the pamphlets turned out so well!! love that you printed them on different colored paper. and the flower arrangements turned out gorgeous too!! and yes, it's so good to lean into things we know will be good for us, even if (maybe especially if) they feel scary. i'm learning how to shoot video rn and it's scary as hell, so this felt like a gentle pat on the back to dare to keep going. thank you, as always, for such beautiful content.

@filmfauxtos

I was literally watching your older videos for editing inspo and then when I refresh to my subscriptions, you dropped a new video!!

@simplybychristine

I loved your vlog!! You did an amazing job at the workshop, no need to feel nervous (;

@withloveamig

This is so wholesome 💗 hope you host more workshops in the future! 🤭

@maehital

10:44 with ichiko aoba playing and you just lying there on the grass under the sun made me feel sentimental idk why🥹

@nastasia_dmitrievna

What a beautiful video! Thank you very much, I think after your video I got a dose of motivation, now I also really want to assemble my flower master class! Once again, thank you very much, I really like your videos ❤

Hey I just found your channel looking for recommendations in Japan! (I'm going on October and Mishima is now on my list) I really like your vlog style, your sense of fashion and Choco of course....love from Mexico City! <3

@shorefilm

you’re so brave and i’m really proud you did this!!!!! I really like making ikebana for myself, i find it relaxing and i see that I'm good at it, but when i think about the fact that i don't know anything about flowers and I don't really know what I'm working on when I make compositions of them, I realize that I definitely won't be able to teach someone ... I don't think I really know anything. You said that you worked in a flower shop, maybe you will have some advice for me?..ik that i’m just scared and that’s could be the only problem here

@Anberel

I know that imposter syndrome is a universal feeling, but I feel like the current “authenticity” trend on social media has just increased that. Unless we’re trained experts with decades of experience it can often feel like people are just waiting to call you a pretender or a fake. I think that’s sad because it stops us from sharing what we know. Even if what we know is imperfect, it’s still more than the people taking the class.

Even if all they get is basic knowledge and experience that’s maybe something they wouldn’t have had the courage or inclination to try on their own. It’s almost as if the pressure for authenticity makes us less authentic. If there was no internet, no public library, your class would have been their only opportunity to try a new skill and they never would know how authentic it was or wasn’t.

Some might think it’s silly to be nervous about putting yourself out there for a small workshop, but I think it’s brave. You can never know what intentions strangers are going to bring with them and there’s always a chance that one of them will scoff or criticize which doesn’t feel good when you’re trying to put something kind out into the world. I think that your packet of information was nicely done and if nothing else they got to try a new skill with some friendly guidance. That’s worth a lot.
