@SnowFox-gv2rn

I appreciate that your critiques don’t try to change the style of the artwork. Like for example, to fix the flat shading, a thing people would do would make it soft shading instead for cell shading, which completely misses the point of it being cell shading. But you kept the cell shading to fit the style and technique, and you instead focused on making it look better by thinking about the form

You also do a good job at pointing out what people did well and what you like about their artworks. A proper critique is about being helpful and constructive, which means pointing out what was good and finding what could be done differently next time. You strike this balance in such a healthy way and I think it’s wonderful!

@sharoo_draws

I never thought about how shading should also have interesting shapes. i should factor that in more

@LemonSBugz

Pikat's vid always comes up and answers the problem we need the most.

@RetroGhost16

Hello! Thanks for making a video about shading! I honestly haven't had a clue as to how to approach it in digital art yet or in general.

@asmodiasmobilemoba

I'm genuinely impressed by this artwork, prefer it more than the reference

@nixsnowsong6732

Whoa that shadow in a shadow bit makes so much sense! I was always so confused what you meant before

@SUTAZZZ

I love your Vtuber model it's simple so it doesn't distract from what your teaching yet has a cutesy pixel art style💜

@sbjb12

WAKE UP MYSELF, NEW PIKAT VID JUST DROPPED

@cheesycheese8451

You always manage to telepathically understand what I'm struggling with in my art at the moment and then upload a video on it

@catinacafe7105

As a beginner I'm not on shading yet but still here to drop a comment to appease the algorithm gods.

@alonachiong666

Your advice is really good. I have the same issue with the arms too. I copy everything directly from reference to have correct anatomy but it turns out looking flat... Now I realized I don't have to copy everything one to one

@KenChanArt

Shape of shadow always adds up to the result, love it❤

@Sad-mc1fb
