Yes gone into debt then filed bankruptcy. Moving overseas in 2 years to Sicily. Free health care
My children are 10, I'm still making payments on their birth/NICU stay. Until they regulate the medical industry and make them only charge a certain amount above costs it will never get better.
Yes, thank you! This cause is so important to me! So glad people with influence are speaking up about this❤
I love these videos from you! Years ago I was in medical debt but it was dental work I had to get done, (not cosmetic) and I had dental insurance through my job! I still owed about $6,000! Dental insurance in America especially sucks !
Meeee.... I almost lost my life last year and now I owe more than $30k in medical bills. I had expensive health insurance but because of the high deductible, I couldn't use it. Now I am considering if I fight it in court or if I file for bankruptcy. More than likely I will have to file for bankruptcy. They could take everything away from me if I don't. I am a nurse. I benefit from the healthcare industry, but I had no choice. Go into major debt or not see 2024.
Omg yes, Blair!! I love this, thank you! And yes, i went into medical debt at 18 because i had to have an emergency appendectomy, 20k. I applied for grants and relief, as advised by the hospital, but didn't qualify somehow for any.
Unexpected content but I’m here for it
The reels going from sugarbaby-hater ragebait to lowkey sowing the seeds of class consciousness is the next episode yr walnuts want, need, deserve in the Blair Across the Pond Arc 🥰
Blair I love you so much for doing this short. Thank you ❤❤❤
"Say something everyone is to afraid to say" girl we sing this from the roof tops as americans 🎉
Healthcare is free in my country but it's not the only thing you need to raise a child. Just because I want one, doesn't mean I should make one because I'd want them to live freely, travel occasionally, explore their hobbies etc. I wouldn't want them to be neglected.
I'm European. When I'm sick i only have to care about getting better ❤
I've working in an American health insurance before. It's truly crazy how y'all's health care work. It's just sad. I even got an old lady say that she'd rather end herself than to deal with all of this. Really heartbreaking.
I've had 5 surgeries in my life, total dental reconstruction to make my teeth straight, I've gone to therapy for over 2 decades and had probably 100 different medications in my life overall. The total to all this has been to me maybe a few hundred bucks. I don't think it's been even a 1000$ overall. And no, I don't have an insurance. I live in Finland. Hearing what you guys have to pay for your healthcare is INSANE. Like it sounds an actual crime agains humanity to people like me who live in a country where the balance between capitalism and socialism has actually been achieved in a way that it works. I really hope things get better for you asap. Nobody should go bankrupt because they had an accident or bc they fell ill 💔
I have reactive hypoglycemia (I over produce insulin and crash within 2 hours of eating). I also have Lupus. The Dexcom CGM (continuous glucose monitor), I wear is $600 every 90 days (with insurance coverage) not including the alcohol prep pads, Skin Tac wipes to make the additional over patches (to keep it in place for 10 days) stay attached to me, the glucose tablets and glucagon nasal spray for emergencies AND regular/traditional glucose meter, strips, lancets and alcohol wipes….We have six kids. 4 still school aged. We never struggled financially until this came up. The first year we went in debt over $23 k and our $20k savings disappeared on diagnostic tests and then supplies and scripts for supplies. The amount of guilt I carry for needing to spend $43k on medical debt for ME is enormous. My husband keeps telling me it’s well worth it but the guilt remains.
I know a family where all 4 or 5 kids were premature babies, and the medical bills went up to a whopping total of a million usd 💀.
We definitely are here boosting advocacy especially for equal affordable healthcare, day by day and each step at a time, grateful you are here with your divine radiance! <3
You predicted this!!
