Taking the ASVAB on Wednesday 4-28-2025 at the time of me posting this. I am 41 and looking to enlist in the Navy Thank you for taking the time to teach us the tips and tricks for the ASVAB math problems.

@xyz1024

Great Sir ------ it is also solved just by multiplying unit digits no need to long process

@TrevreWxAZ

The options reveal the answer for you too. You are multiplying two numbers greater than 10 and only have one option over 100

@silentfate

So I memorized numbers x themselves up to 20. Like 13×13=169, if you 12×14=168, the answer is 1 less each time. I only memorized numbers times themselves for this reason and I haven't needed much else

@aareview8258

Simplify
For fraction-lowest terms
For algebraic-combining like terms and getting rid of parenthesis.
For equations means-solve for variable

@sinsadvocate

As a tip for future content, might I suggest replacing 48 with another three digit number? Assuming this is a multiple choice question, it makes it far too easy to answer once you figure out it's multiplication. That second three-digit number could make it so it's not a question you easily can answer without doing the math.
