I like to put a band of gypsies fuzz face (which is not exactly a fuzz face) before vibe, and an overdrive after the vibe.: with a little amp distortion. Then you can get whichever flavor you want.

Isley brothers? Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser into a fuzz.:goodvibes: I always vibe before distortion.. Awesome Riffs by the way a little Luther allison/Buddy Guy spazz jam going on. I've seen Buddy guy go off on one of his open throttle solo trips before and he just rips into the maple with a vengeance.

Great question. Remember that a Uni-Vibe has a preamp circuit. Here's what I would recommend if you can afford it. Put one in front, and put one in back. You get both sounds.

Ernie Isley used a maestro phaser the first one with the three presets now the fuzz he used was debated might be a foxy lady maybe a big muff no one's sure

in my experience: vibe before fuzz sounds so much better. feels a lot more like a smooth riding river rather than a chaotic tornado

I use fuzz first, then vibe, then overdrive. Sounds totally Jimi. Because his Marshalls were cranked.

Much prefer the fuzz first vibe second approch. the sound you had with that set up fuzz into vibe was really great

My first 3 Effects are as follows: BMF custom wah into a KR MEGAVIBE into an Analogman Sunface NKT275 (white dotted) Fuzz Face......So thats' VIBE into Fuzz... The other way (Fuzz into Vibe) is too "swishy" "goopy"...HOWEVER the reason it worked for Jimmi was that Jimmi's amps were gained out and breaking up (which was sort of like) "Vibe into fuzz" (fuzz being his amp breakup)
