Angie Stone always came off as manipulative, narcissistic, and controlling to me. She absolutely did try to take credit for D’Angelo success and tried to make it seem as though he needed her. I don’t care what anyone says someone in their 30s dating someone who is 18/19 fresh out of high school is predatory.

Angie Stone was in denial. That mother/lover like relationship was messy and toxic and fed her ego! There is nothing pure and innocent about a 31 year old woman being romantically interested in a relationship with a 19 year old male (who had yet to find his way in the world, and grow into his career and his manhood) and try to build a family with him by ultimately having his baby. It is very disturbing! While Angie may have been a talented artist who made contributions to the industry, she did not always make the best decisions on what should have been important matters such as being a mother to her daughter and developing a healthy mother/daughter relationship; and educating herself about the business of the industry so that she could oversee the individuals she chose to manage her career and finances. Instead, she pursued her career and invested her time, money and other resources into a romantic interest. Now it appears that herstory is repeating itself. It has been reported that HER 28 year old son is linked to her assistant (who is a much older with a daughter of her own) in a professional and/or personal relationship which may not be good for him. Wow he admitted he was in love with her at one point, but to speak negatively after her demise while her death is still being investigated is messed up. I hope he is in touch with there son.

You know it kills me how society is ok with a 19 year old girl dealing with a 30 something year old man, but the other way around she "groomed" him? Please, he knew what he was doing, is sure he was immature at 19, like us all, but he was still a consenting adult.

It’s crazy how y’all make so many excuses for women. If D’Angelo was 31/32 and Angie was 19 y’all would call him a predator. 🙄 A 19 year old and a 32 year old have absolutely NOTHING in common. Even when they had their son when he was 23 she was 36 still weird. She was also the first person to xesulize him talking about his lips would be famous. That’s why his family didn’t like her.

People are dating people of all ages. Stop making her feel like she robbed the cradle. They looked good together. I'm so tired of the dark skin plus size versus light skin and skinny, it needs to stop bc it don't mean shit. Angie Stone was beautiful the way she was. She wasn't always "plus size" she was bc of medication. You could tell she was beautifully shaped when she was. People are too judgemental.

Why y'all think he never said anything yet? She was paid to groom him the industry got him on drugs and alcohol and then his career was over once he had a son with her that was the end of him. She wasn't suppose to have anything kids with him. She bought him into the industry she took him from a small town a church going man. So it's like she sold him to the industry. Now the Son hates the both of them because he can't get his rap career off the ground. The son his mom he was promised a career. Let's see how that go
