I just released my first cottontail rescues. The most difficult part was not being able to check on them constantly. The cutest things in the world don't lie6 to be snuggled. What a cruel world lol
Thank You for Saving All these Precious Little bunnies 🐰 ❤
What lucky bunnies to find such intelligent and kind godparents!
You know what you're doing! Great work saving the baby bunnies
I totally relate with this video. My boyfriend ended up finding two ~5 day old orphaned rabbit kits at a desolate construction site a few weeks ago. After the few rescues that specialized in rehabbing rabbit kits in the area told us that they couldn't take them in, we were left with the choice of dropping them off at a "generalist" wildlife rescue (which we were told was not a good idea because the babies would likely be used as food), commuting out of state to find a rehab center that would take them, or taking up the task of rehabbing them ourselves. I can 100% agree that the ANXIETY during the entire process is SO real, especially considering the information on how to properly rehab these little guys is very, very difficult to find and there is a lot of conflicting information out there. I truly think the high mortality rate recorded at wildlife rescues is because caring for them is so time consuming, expensive, and meticulous, and the rabbits are easily stressed if they're handled by a bunch of different people. It took us hours and hours of research the first day to feel even remotely comfortable with the process. I definitely lost sleep over it, but it paid off - they are now three weeks old and thriving and (hopefully) one more week away from release!
Awe My God so precious and cute and so adorable. Xxxooo, GOD BLESS THE BABY BUNNIES, XXXOOO
I have fostered 27 baby bunny's and loved e ery minute of it. I gave them pureed sweet potatoes and pedilite in a bottle and they couldn't drink it fast enough. They ate fresh grass, marigolds and kale when they got bigger. When they were big enough I released all of them down at the creek by my house. Thank you for taking care of these little fuzzy butts.😊😊
Awww sooo overcute 😍🥰😘 And thanks so much for rescuing and supporting these overcute litte 🐇 Bunny Angels
Yet the mother bunny be like this is a piece of cake. I feed you today I see you in a day. Love u😁
I was just entrusted with four babies this afternoon, younger than this. Cottontails can be difficult... I hope they're just old enough (one week +/-) to have a fighting chance. They accepted a few drops of goat milk from an eyedropper, so I'll try that again before bedtime. With cottontails, it's one hour at a time, let alone one day at a time. Thrive, baby bunnies! Bless animal rescuers everywhere. 🤍
This was a huge help! I rescued a little injured baby cottontail bunny and this video save it as much as i did! Thank You
I had one just like that at the start of the video. I'm saddened he died within 5 days of having him. Already felt like I had him forever.
Great care of the baby bunnies, GOD BLESS YOU, THEY ARE SO SO CUTE AND ADORABLE, AND BEAUTIFUL
What a kind husband you have! Very supportive & understanding.
I rescued a young cottontail bunny recently in the afternoon and left her with a wildlife rehabilitator that night. I don't know anything about caring for wildlife and felt it was the best decision, however, I got so attached and still have anxiety about how she's doing now. That little baby stole my heart and I have difficulty relaxing. Hoping I can visit her and hear updates.. last I heard she is doing a bit better. Thank you for sharing your experience with us- I was hoping to learn more about caring for wild bunnies and I did. These are adorable and I'm glad to see they were doing better as the video progressed.
Love those creatures. Thank you for helping.
Just so cute!
Great video and advice I have 3 right now with their eyes still closed. I can't stop spoiling them everytime they get wild in their box I let them fall asleep in my hand . I'm on day 3 wish me luck
I’m so glad I found your video but wish I would’ve found it yesterday instead of tonight. While watering my garden outback two baby rabbits about 10 days old jumped out of the garden and I could not find its nest or where they even came from. Concerned, I put them in a tub plastic container. I went to the store and picked up some bedding and kitten formula milk with the Kit. I’ve rescued hundreds of Cockatiels when I was a breeder, but I’ve never rescued a baby bunny. Although, I did keep a baby rabbit that was several weeks old and somehow found its way into our garage. When I kept trying to get it outside of the garage every so often it would be back into the garage so I’ve purchased food for it and eventually took that little rabbit out by time it was 11 or 12 weeks and set him free. I called him bunny, Bob. Bob hung around the backyard for the next couple of years and he must’ve found a wife that had babies out back. A few months back, I found a baby rabbit that my cat brought to my back door. I gladly thanked our cat and rescued that baby rabbit for a couple hours and set him free a couple hours later. I just wanted to make sure that there were no injuries and it was safe to release it back into the woods where we live. Now, a few months later, finding these two baby rabbits, and being concerned of not seeing the adult rabbit, presumably the mother, anywhere in sight. I kept them overnight, fed them the formula and I went outside this evening and saw the mother. The craziest thing happened. I found a YouTube video with a baby rabbit crying, that is used for other predator animals for hunters. For the life of me, I never expected to see what happened next. When I tapped on play the baby rabbits mother came running to my feet. She literally ran straight through the backyard and up to my feet no more than a foot away. She kept looking up at me as if I were the babies, wondering, where are my babies. My heart sunk to my stomach and I felt so horrible that I quickly came inside to get the baby rabbits and set them outside so that she could find them. I played the sound again and no sooner than a couple minutes later, a wildcat came right by where I was playing the sound. My heart sun to my stomach, thinking the worst that the cat would take off with these baby bunnies so I brought them back inside and I felt horrible because I know the mama is outside, waiting to feed her babies. How in the world am I going release these babies back outside to their mama when I know that there are feral cats out there that may eat these babies? Do you have any tips or suggestions? I feel so horrible that I didn’t find your video sooner, but will appreciate your response. Thanks so much in advance!
