Conclusion after a few hours:
I went into lobby surfing thinking that I wouldn't find any of the patterns suggested in this video. To my shock and surprise I started noticing some of these patterns. So, being the skeptic that I am matches were played I was told not to play. And, I noticed that they were unplayable for me. I had to quite half way through the match. Something I've done in the past.

This started the process of avoiding those lobbies. The lobbies I did join were much more enjoyable. The lobbies were half way decent for what I usually expect but I was playing them more often. None of that win one, loss the next kind of thing I was seeing before. What made it enjoyable was the consistency of winning and getting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th places. Instead of 5th and 6th places.

Down Side:
This is pretty time consuming. After I started to get the idea behind this I saw myself backing out of a handful of lobbies before I started to see 'good lobbies'. One match could take up to 5 minutes or so to find. This is not ideal. However, since I've already bought this game I wanted to get some use out of it beside shelving it as a $70 waste. That just didn't sit well with me.

Up Side:
Because I've found a few lobbies I had fun in incentive me to "Lobby Surf" more aggressively. Increasing my play time from 30 minutes to over an hour so far. Something I'm not keen on but it will do for now.

Final Conclusion
I won't be buying Black Ops 6 at $70+ if I have to do this from now on. This is ok for MW III but it s hassle paying $70 again to do this in BO6.

@Arayev_

I absolutely knew this was the case. It’s to keep players engaged longer. They want players to chase that “hit of dopamine” that rush of feel good endorphins when you have a friendly “fun” game. They are creating a route to addiction and using the obsessive behavior of gaming against players. Gaming can be and is an addiction for a lot of people. If we all were to have “fun” every game. Eventually we would get bored after a bit and stop playing for the day. To the point where eventually we want to find that rush again, since that feeling isn’t the same anymore in that game. This leads to the idea that we may and will look to other games that challenge us. They don’t want that. They want us hooked. We’re literally gambling and the odds are stacked against us entirely when it comes to matchmaking now. When will that next “fun” match be, we’re always thinking. That’s why EOMM is set in place. They’re using science. Just like most big corporations that use the human against itself. Addiction has if not the biggest, such a large margin for profit. That’s the tool. I so much fricken appreciate this video my guy. I just started lobby surfing a few days ago and came across this. Now I know better what to actually look for for.

@Goldnugget007

There are a lot of cod influences who briefly discuss sbmm/eomm. But not in detail like I've seen in this video. You get the occasional bullet registration, patent talk and movement issues but nothing on this level.

This is why the discussion of sbmm and eomm has not been effective. It has been a talking point in a vacuum. Using generalizations to try to say that it's real.

 We need more videos like this that gives details and examples in one video in order to grasp the severity of it.

I experienced it. At the time I was a level 70 player and in the prior match I did pretty good. As I waited to enter the next lobby I saw 12 players all around my level ready to go (as usual).

It was about to count down when all of a sudden bink-bink-bink-bink-bink-bink-bink several players leave the lobby sequentially with no deviations in pacing. That was some of the best frame times I've ever seen. You can't get no smoother than that.

No way 7 random, human players all sequentially left the lobby keeping that level of pacing. It was the most computerized thing ive ever seen. Yet, didnt make the connection that it was rigging me.

So I waited for the lobby to fill back up, and I started seeing levels 430, 410, 500, 600, 390, 475, etcetera. I did not know at the time that people were at those levels. And caught me a little off guard. I said, "Huh?!"

I didn't pay attention to what just happened. I only noticed the higher level players. I left the lobby because it was taking well over two or three minutes to get into the match.

I just didn't know that was how sbmm/eomm rigging worked. But I do now. No way I'm buying bo6.

@invnp

Thanks for the informative video.

@Dom_Be_Dumb

This man is pretty good at the game ngl. Good tips.💀

@Goldnugget007

Yes, this is good advice. I've actually seen this in the lobbies and never paid attention to it.

Update:
Although it does not make a whole lot of sense to me. It actually does work. I'm seeing a lobby similar to Xdefiant. The difference is it might take me a minute more to find it.

@spearthumb3780

Nice list. I've noticed these patterns for ages. These principles are 100% related to the systems they use, and if you're patient, you can keep things in mind to have a much smoother time playing way funner matches. These devs have zero clue what they are doing.

@beardeddefguy

I don't play respawn much I'm a search player but i did notice that when i play respawn anytime i break past a 3 killstreak I'll all of sudden have players spawning directly behind me. To balance the game maybe? Now in search i see non stop players coming and going. It puts me against 4 and 6 man parties when playing solo and my teammates can't get over 5 kills in a game. Then after 3 matches like clock work I'll end a full played match to a late join thats 3 and 0 trying to give you that ( I won this game imma keep playing feeling) but there's only 2 to 3 enemies in that lobby and the match won't fill even if we lose a couple rounds ( after 5 minutes nah I'm not buying it ) I've noticed this happening a lot so i try to play with friends or viewers to avoid this situation. Sorry for the long comment but i dropped that sub. Great video with good info. 👍

@Typhon888

Good advice thank you.

@FreedomOfSpeech1.0

After a WIN the game will ALWAYS Force you to have a Loss REMEMBER IT'S RIGGED!

@YoItsDillan

I started playing COD:MP back in the OG MW2, way back before SBMM/EOMM was so aggressive. The last COD:MP I really pumped a lot of time into was BO2. I'm more of a zombies player and have never been all that great at MP (hover around a 1.0-1.5 KD). In the old COD's it was easy to see when you've gotten better because you start out getting stomped and eventually are consistently 1.0+ KD every match. Reaching that consistency (even for someone who is not amazing) was possible because there are always going to be a significantly higher number of really bad players than there are good or even great ones, and COD would make these lobbies (for the most part) without everyone's "skill" in mind. The problem with SBMM/EOMM is how disingenuous it is. Most people have no issues being matched with players of equal skill, so long as they are being TOLD that it is happening and they are TOLD what their relative skill actually IS (aka Ranked Modes). Modern COD would rather do this all in the background on casual modes because they see it as "bad for business" to tell bad players that they are low skill. Force the good players to only fight each other on casual playlists and the masses are "engaged".

I'm a zombies player and even I can clearly see and feel that things are much different than they used to be.

@MaxBarrass

Yeah man I've been paired with level 50 dwamons…

@TheDoats

Yeah very good reads here. Especially if you do amazing on a map and the very next game it's the same map. It's always much harder the second time. Also the higher ping thing is very true. Of course if you get good enough you will always be put in higher ping lobbies. Like my ping is 20-35ms yet I'm always put in 60-100ms lobbies now. It's quite funny really because the game tells you what your ping is yet your in lobbies that are at least double your ping.

@samwadleygolf30

Hit the nail on the head with all of it. Only problem for me is i dont play pubs, i only play ranked. So i can't back out of games & lobbies etc. All of what you say 100% exists in ranked aswell. If there is any advice you can give for Ranked Multi that would be fantastic. 😊

@-Y2K93-

I play on Xbox and I've turned cross play off in the main Xbox settings and it made my lobbies much more enjoyable and playable. I'm a lvl 920 and still can't get to grips with how sweaty this game has become lol

@gel87Kjetil

My clan tag is EOMM, what can i do in warzone? Its so boring, i experience needing 52wsp swarm shots between enemy shoulders just to down him, then his teammate comes and delete me in 4 bullets from the same gun, throwing knives are rigged and i would throw a live mosquito in a strigter Line… crossbow and sniper headshots deal 0 or low damage, aim assist lock on right outside enemy hitbox, and i litterally have to force it upon them…

When i perfectly precenter enemies head, it will wip my aim to the side at the excact same frame i shot…

@Goldnugget007

I don't know about everyone else, but I am definitely going to get my money's worth. I refuse to shelve a $70 game because they have mechanics that go against me. When I can overcome them.

@slamshift6927

I'll just go back to old cod. Fuck this.

@arrogantprophet9697

I am toasted my usual ping is 65 or 75 since day 1, but when I played with a guy who was bad at the game, his regular ping was starting from 10...

@dudemandropbear

Doesnt matter what ya do EOMM gets ya no matter what
