@thetravdawg It most certainly did 'put the whoop ass on the Corvette". It may have only won by a fraction of a second, but it did it with a frontal area the size of a barn, twice the weight to haul down the track and with 2 fewer gears in a slushbox....pretty damned impressive, i say.

@7150285 I agree. If they were running along a long course I do think the vette would have the advantage. In the 1/4 the diesel trucks torque curve really gives them the advantage; More torque at lower revs plus you've got the turbo spooling away under there.

a heavily modified truck weighing easily twice as much as that car producing probably the same amount of HP... but producing way more torque than a gasoline motor can ever produce. Don't get your panties in a bunch. The guy with the vette wanted to race. If he didn't he would have just backed out. You race what you bring isn't that correct? Just respect the truck for winning.. and respect the driver of the vette for knowing he was probably going to loose. :P

I am not sure exactly, but I know it had a Hoset turbo, ATS transmission/ torque converter. ATS Coommander/Copilot and a few other cool ATS goodies.
