@jellymetric

fun fact: this video was originally uploaded to nico as an swf file on flash, which meant that luka would keep spinning even if the video was paused. there were also certain easter eggs that would show up if the video was paused for long enough, like kaito getting punted into the sky

@fevernight123

Today on August 29th, Luka used this attack on Rin Kagamine in the wrestling match...

@grace_core

Some say that she's still spinning to this day

@gabarcodex

such a shame that the original nico nico video works like a normal video now,
no more forever spinning luka
it makes me................really sad tbh

@glensitoxd1603

@Sailorchibbimoon

@animeladdict

I like the part where Luka was spinning around

@MxPokirby

"Luka used Darkest Lariat!"
"Luka's attack missed!"
"And it missed again!"
"And again!"
"And she's... still missing!"
"And... uh... Hey, should someone stop her?"
"Hey, where's she flying off to? How is she even doing that?!"
"..."
"Luka has fled!"

@ghostchiryou

I remembered this song randomly but forgot the name so I searched “luka spinning song” and it was the first result adgfhkj

I feel like everyone saying this song is just about spinning is missing the point. Double Lariat is about Luka spinning just as much as Rolling Girl is about Miku rolling. The lyrics each talk about those movements, but it's all symbolism.
Personally, Double Lariat reminds me of Impostor's Syndrome, or the experience of a gifted child in school. The singer talks about how they are achieving great feats, but their peers make them feel like they're failing and could constantly do better. They know they're burning themself out, but they can't stop or they'd feel like a failure (or, in the context of Impostor's Syndrome, they feel like they'd be found out for "faking" their way to where they are now). At the end of the song, they realize they're already doing nothing but hurting themself, and simply hopes their friends will stay by their side when they finally tire of "spinning."

@suikunkun

Cameos!
Miku - 0:24, with a guitar.
Kaito - 0:45, with ice cream, gets beat up.
Meiko - 1:43, beats up a guy.
Rin(copter) - 2:25,
Gackpo and Len - 2:50, in the city, Gackpo in an eggplant car and Len in underwear dancing with wheels as feet (?) (kinda blocked by lyrics). o.o
Everybody =D - anywhere from about 3:09 to 3:19. Len, Rin, Luka, and Miku standing, Gackpo in his car, and Kaito carrying Meiko.

There you go! Again, only on Nico.

My interpretation of the song:

Luka spinning around is supposed to represent Luka chasing her dreams and in doing so, she pushes away all her friends and family in pursuit of her dream. Luka is aware of this because she says "please stay away from me" Luka knows that she might cause harm towards her loved ones so she distances herself from them. But Luka says "If I ever stop spinning can you be stay with me" Indicating that once her dream is over she wants to spend time with her loved ones and is worried that she might lose them.

@sound-sakura

These silly singing robots really touch my heart, huh? I just got done bawling my eyes out. I've never felt more connected to a song in my life. I used to always come back to this song when I felt like quitting everything (including my music that i deemed to be a "lame pipe dream" for a long time), but now that I've made it to where I want to be, it touches my heart in a way I didn't know it could. I've made it. I've wanted to quit so much, since all of my peers were so much better than me, but I've made it. I'm able to say that I'm proud of myself and what I do and there are tons of new opportunities opening up for me. I didn't think I could ever make it this far.

The radius of 6300km is now a distance this hand can reach.

And I am proud. The only thing I have to say to you is to never give up your dreams. It sounds cheezy, sure, but you have to believe in (not only the me that believes in you, but) yourself ALWAYS. If you want to, then spin around as much as you can until you can reach that 6300km and KEEP GOING; Heck, if you want to, then come back to this comment and let me know once you've made it. Someday, when you tire of spinning; I'll stay by your side.

@Patryk128pl

Me hearing this for the first time: Oh, what a beautiful song, I bet it's about love, night sky, or smh like that.
This song: is literally about Luka spinning.
Me: what

@robohoee

miku: rolling girl
luka: spinning girl

@leonorgrilo5261

My view of the song:

Well, I think "Luka's spinning" means the effort she puts to reach something. The unit of measurement that apears on the chorus (85cm, 250cm,etc.) keeps growing as the song goes on, and i think it means the way things are getting dificult "for her hand to reach", but she still "keeps spinning", at the point of leaving her loved ones behind. When she flies, she reaches what she wants to reach, and that's when she notices that she cant move on without her loved ones. So, she wants them to always stay with her until she "gets tired of spinning"

@marksmanmerc1

I adore how it's a cute and goofy song that doesn't take itself super seriously yet still gets across its message.

@AssistantCoreAQI

"--It's truely a good song that reminded us of one's life long aspiration to become master in our trades, even when we fail we must always get back up and keep fighting again. One's might get over shadowed by our peers around us who have always achieve farther and higher than us. Eventually, One's will be able to reach their goal in life; The 6300KM is the end of the journey for most of us (Do you know that 6300KM is the radius of this rock we are living on?) I
