@MartinWastlund

It feels wierd, yet refreshing, that a YouTuber makes better news commentary than basically any established media outlet. This gave historical and present-day context, and it did not give as a ready-made opinion. Basically, this is what news should be like.

Many thanks, Felton!

"Back in the early 1900s, when Britain. . . was taken seriously."

@kwd3109

America? Britain? Denmark?......they are all ignoring the elephant in the room. Not one of these nations has asked the big man at the North Pole what he thinks! Santa Claus has the final say on all things up North and I think he should annex Greenland himself!

@spaceysound

The UK is too pathetic internationally to play a move like that.

@claywest9528

I consider myself fairly well schooled in history, and I was aware of Greenland's strategic value, but I had no idea of the history behind nations vying for ownership of the island. Fascinating material!

@MoraleHazard

The only thing better than a new Mark Felton video is a new Mark Felton video discussing modern geopolitics.

@theterriblepuddle1830

"Since Denmark was part of Norway"
Excuse me, Norway was part of Denmark

@MayOdinGuideYou

The fact that we get free videos on YouTube by Mark Felton is truly a gift; keeping education and knowledge alive. 👏🙏🏻🤷
Greenland for Native Greenlanders, Europe for Native Europeans, Africa for Native Africans, America for Native Americans,
Asia-Pacific for Native Asians-Pacific islanders.  🤷

@SkipKiplinger

Context always matters! Every news cast and/or article yapping away about this topic now (either for or against) should have begun by reminding everyone - but only here, only Mr. Felton! Well done and thank you!

@Stewart682

Ah yes, the ancient Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times"!

@DSS553

The funny thing is, the purpose of buying Greenland cannot be to build bases there. This is already a possibility for the US as they already have an agreement with the Danish government about it. They already have some, and can expend them as they wish. So this is about Greenlands underground, and the vast amounts of rare ressources.

@barryhill6507

No, sitting British PM has ever been to a US presidentual inaugeration.

@RJM1011

The problem would be how would the UK then pay Denmark when there's NO money in the UK to fill in a few potholes right now ??

@baomao7243

I can almost hear Trump’s call … “You live in a tough neighborhood and if the US doesn’t have Greenland the US wont be able to guarantee your safety…”

@sunsetlix

Thank you Mr Felton! I believe you may be the world's first forensic historian of the digital age.

@LegIIAVGCA

Thanks… I did know this history. Good job mate!

@MrRockaby

As highlighted in the video, Greenland gained self-government in 2009. If the parties involved still respect international law, this means that Greenland cannot be sold unless Greenland itself agrees to this.

@dhm7815

Best report I've seen on this matter.

@1pierosangiorgio

As Kissinger said : "being a foe of American is certainly dangerous, but being an ally is fatal".

@cavscout1418

Now Denmark is trying to buy California. As a native Californian, i support their pursuits.
