another reason why NPC's is heavy on CPU is because when they move, their mesh changes and deforms. the CPU has to calculate the position of the vertices (where multiple faces meet).
This is a misleading video and implies that greater heavily threaded performance is far more relevant and important for gaming than it really is
Do you not understand that setting DLSS to ultra performance which is an internal resolution of 720p is obviously going to put more load on the CPU? So I don't quite get the surprise there.
Its only king for a little while until the 9900x3d and 9950x3d comes out. And they have some extra tricks apparently.
What a hell of an upgrade. Putting the cache on the bottom must have done something. If the zen 6 3d has the same increase then we wont need another cpu for a looong time.
Appreciate the testing, thanks!
My 9800x3d stats are now showing up in Msi Afterburner are you using Hwinfo64 or something else to show your osd? Maybe you can make a video on OSD setup someday would be great! Thanks
how would it compare against the 14900k ?
I've overclocked the 9800x3d with amazing resutls. Got about 25% improvement in cyberpunk alone.. stalker 2 also running very well!
That build looks clean though!!
Great cpu got mine on launch day paired with the taichi 5000 series ready
I'm awaiting delivery of new pc - 7900x, msi 4070 super x2 oc, 32gig 6000, nve 7000/6500, using sealed watercooler on cpu. Will I be able to play games 4k/60fps? I'm upgrading from 3700x 1080ti hybrid sc2. I'm slightly worried about the vram, i've come across videos saying the sink does not cover all vram. Am I worrying too much, I was working to a budget. Common games - factorio, satisfactory, poe, diablo and hoping poe2
To accurately monitor CPU usage, expand the overlay to show each individual CPU core so you can check the usage of each one. Otherwise it can be misleading.
In cyberpunk, if you have an amd cpu, the smt must be on and the crowd density set to medium. Otherwise, the cpu usage will be all over the place no matter what. Nice videoπ
That's what the upcoming 9950X3D is for. If it has dual cache on both 8 cores it should be a beast without the garbage scheduling problems of the first one.
u should test it in native first and then use upscale last π
What cpu actually hit higher fps for these scenarios? The Dragons drogma 3 and cyberpunk 2077 heavy cpu demands that is.
Hey man, thanks for the video. Why do you use cap frame x tho? Not only the software could potentially cause frame-time spikes it is also uses a lot of ram and cpu in comparison to using native rivatuner metrics.
Amazing Pc Setup β€ Nice Video Sir π GPU Is 4070
