@SPCv4

1 hour of animating must’ve taken years, the fact that we got this for free is insane

@Fa1cono

I can't believe Kurzgesagt just dropped this masterpiece, no announcement, no trailer or anything, just dropped this massive project that took almost 5 years for free and for anyone to view, well done Kuzgesagt, please keep doing this, please never stop.

@PJBgamer

"Don't blink, or you might miss all of human history." That line feels so powerful, it really puts things into perspective.

@samuelschlinsock7862

the description “Earth is 4.5 billion years old - which is approximately the same amount of time it took us to create this video.” LOL i can only imagine.

this is so unbelievably amazing, the animation, the music, the concept itself, the execution, and of course the calm voice of steve. its absolutely amazing and puts things into perspective like nothing else i’ve seen. it uses something that most things these days don’t use, time itself. the length of the video with the ending hits hard, because of the time it took to get there. unlike any other comparison or size difference or numbers shown in a video, the time difference you actually feel if you sit through it. the closest i’ve ever felt and conceived the shear difference in size and scope of any scientific concept.

i never have donated on youtube before, this is the perfect channel to donate to. you guys left a mark on scientific education and have gotten so many curious for the unknown. i’ve been a long time fan and will be for a long time more, love you guys ❤

@gamemeister2905

Man the fact that ALL of human history is not even 1 second of this video is utterly astonishing and puts life into perspective so well.

@Jeracraft

I love this so much, took me 10 million years just to write this comment!

@augisterman3685

I love how this is not only a nice screensaver/background video, an educational video, and a music album all in ONE video. This is honestly one of the best videos I have ever seen on this platform

@cameron_mitchell1970

I literally love this video so much it is the best thing ever created and posted on YouTube ever in all our planet's history.

@MarkRober

This is sooooooooooooo good!

@ProdromosVasileios

What amazes me the most is that every single atom of our own body has experienced all this and has been now combined into a mass that is able to watch and appreciate this form of art.

@florian402

This isn't pure education anymore, this is art. Fantastic job guys. This is work for a legacy.

@kramerfortuna7228

I know that, by this standard, I'm hundreds of billions of years late to the party, but this is truly incredible and one of the greatest YouTube videos of all time. Education meets real art. The soundtrack is a jam, the animation is so smooth, the narration is clean and seamlessly fits in, and the effort to coordinate all of this and create this masterpiece is nothing less than Herculean. MASSIVE respect to the Kurzgesagt team. I've been a major fan for the better part of a decade, but you've solidified yourselves as certified LEGENDS with this one. Dropping this video for free was probably lunacy, but thank you so much for that!

@MikeHunt-co2jg

To manage an illustration of 4.5 billion years in one video and have the animations flow so smoothly is something to truly be proud of

@Halgirwn

Watched this in one go with my six year old son. He intently watched the whole thing with lots of questions, and we talked about everything that happened. Such a cool video, will definitely give this several rewatches.

@stupidunicorn8813

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the music? Not only did they make an amazing animation for over an hour, they also composed good music for it. Kurzgesagt are such champions

@FunAndGamesAnimation

Props to the cameraman for standing around for 4.5 billion years for an hour of entertainment

@ladyrabahber780

As a geologist, I really like how this video just intuitively gives a grasp on geological timescales

@thetwitchywitchy

this is honestly a video i feel EVERYONE should watch in full, no skipping. The fact that lifeforms we can finally SEE didn’t even show up until around 10 minutes from the end is just incredible!! Like so many other comments said, this is such an incredible visual explanation of the whole of our planets history and how new to the planet life actually is. Just an all around awe-inspiring video, we can all read about how old the Earth is, but actually seeing it this way makes it so much easier to grasp the timescale that’s much larger than we can comprehend in our own minds. Fantastic video!!
