I did an informal research project on the risks of feminising HRT; the biggest thing is a 2-5x increase in the risk of cardiovascular problems. This looks scary but the base risk is extremely small, and the same risk increase is experienced by cis women on hormonal birth control or menopausal hormone treatment. As Icky said, the risk has been substantially reduced since the early days of trans healthcare, and patches may also be safer than pills. As for cancer, research tends to show that the risk of breast cancer is much higher than for cis men but still lower than cis women. Meanwhile, the chances of prostate cancer go way down (Iwamoto, S.J., Grimstad, F., Irwig, M.S. et al, 2021). Can link sources if needed. There's also things like making sure your potassium doesn't get too high or testosterone gets too low (on cypro); this is why we take blood tests!

Be aware of certain testosteron-blockers. Cyproteron-acetate (marketed p.e. under the brand "Androcur") has a tendency to build up in your body over time and is linked to a certain type of brain cancer. So the risk is very low, especially with the low doses that you take for hrt, but it is not zero and worth knowing.

Heads up. If your doctor is having you take estrogen orally, talk to them about taking it sublingually, don't just start doing it on your own because it can have a big effect on your dosage. More estrogen isn't always better. Taking your full regular oral dose sublingually can make your estrogen shoot up waaay higher than it's meant to be. Like mine went to over 2000 when my target amount was like 300.

I'm on week four of HRT by pills, and aside from the first dose -- I shot a video of me taking that first pill -- I've been taking the pills sublingually. I had hear that was the better way to take the pills, but I didn't know why until seeing your video. Thank you! I've bought a couple of items from your store. I hope they fit!
